I know it's subjective but what do you think of this dress?
I'm revamping my wardrobe, I have way too many clothes but a lot became a little big after my son. Also, I've gone off a lot of the prints I havintend to wear a lot of girly and floral prints but am looking for something different. I'm also looking to but more expensive pieces that will last. However, I just don't know where to shop anymore. This dress is m&s but at 33 I sometimes feel too young to shop there?
Where do people my age shop? I love Sezane but it's pricey, I find places like Zara and Topshop have a lot of cropped items that I won't wear!

It looks nice. M&S is ok for all ages. Shop where you like.

I'm going against the grain and say you have a great figure but it's just a bit meh .. it's not midi or maxi and the colour is ok ..are you short or just slim ? You look great but I think you could do better !

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 27/05/2021 18:23

Have a look at nobody's child at m and s
I have been browsing at M&S and found this: https://www.marksandspencer.com/floral-v-neck-midaxi-tea-dress/p/clp22525493?intid=mobileappppdpshare

Seems that it would go with DMs.

ItsDinah · 27/05/2021 18:34

I admired it on M and S site yesterday and decided it wouldn't suit me. Agree you look better in it than the model. I would break it up with a belt- even a scarf and possibly tied above actual waist.

cookiecreampie · 27/05/2021 18:36

It looks good on the model, but although you have a good figure, it doesn't really do you any favours and kind of swamps you. I think the length is unflattering too.

therearenogoodusernamesleft · 27/05/2021 19:07

I think it's frumpy and with your figure you could find something that does you more justice!

Have you looked at Cos, H&M, Massimo Dutti? I also think Zara has good seasons and bad seasons...

KaleJuicer · 27/05/2021 19:10

Another post to say it looks better on you than the model! You can wear pretty much anything so go for colours and patterns that will lift your mood and bring you joy.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 27/05/2021 19:17

I think it's lovely but too long. Could you get it taken up a bit? Maybe if you do as others have suggested and open buttons at either end it will break it up a bit and you won't look so swamped in it? You have a fab figure and would probably look good in anything!

Thank you for all the comments. I can see how it looks like it swaps me...the perils of being short!
Clothes shopping is driving me nuts at the moment. I'd like some knee length clothes but everything is huge. I'd never heard of 'Cos' so I had a look but everything is really long and baggy! Is that just the fashion these days?

Sorry, I don’t think it’s very flattering on you as you have a lovely figure and I think the colour doesn’t suit your skin tone.

Cos is a funny one, as they make everything look weird and unflattering on the website. If you can, visit a store - they have some beautiful things and it gets easier to shop online once you know their stuff!
