Can anyone recommend one please? I use Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation, but it won't arrive until after weekend so I need something I can grab in boots. I'm pale with combination skin/oily T-zone. Thank you!

dd rates Revlon colour stay vanilla is a good pale colour.
If it was just for a couple of days I think I would go for the natural collection or just use a bit more concealer, but then I never wear a full face of foundation.

MadnessMolly · 27/05/2021 07:45

Thanks, normally I wouldn't bother but sods law it is bank holiday and I've got meals and drinks booked Smile. I've used budget foundation before but my skin is crap and doesn't like it at all, so I don't mind the cost. Thanks.

Definitely the YSL all hours foundation

LivingDeadGirlUK · 27/05/2021 08:32

I've heard good things about the boots no 7 tonted moisturiser. What coverage are you after and is it a big boots?

EverythingWasGolden · 27/05/2021 08:35

After a million recommendations on here I've just bought No7 HydraLuminous. I'm impressed!

It's got good coverage and stays on well. I'm trying to replace Estée Lauder Double Wear and this could be a good contender.

My skin is the same as yours btw and no t-zone issues! And a good range of pale colours.

cravingthelook · 27/05/2021 08:40

Agree with @EverythingWasGolden

I use the Revolution foundation from SuperDrug, www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Face/Foundation/Liquid-Foundation/Revolution-Matte-Base-Foundation-F1/p/774475

I also have combination skin and it's great, the coverage is full but not heavy, blends really well, lasts all day, doesn't break apart around the forehead and nose and the shade range is huge.

MadnessMolly · 27/05/2021 12:55

Thanks all, lot's to look at Smile I prefer matte ish and decent coverage, but not too cement like, I think I tried double wear and thought it was too thick IIRC.

Bugger I didn't think about testers! I bet they aren't allowed at the minute..

Primark foundation is surprisingly good, if you have one near you.

MadnessMolly · 27/05/2021 13:08

I swear by Primark £1 lashes Sakura! But my skin is very snobby and hates cheaper foundation, I've learned this the hard way. Not sure if there is a certain ingredient in them, or more oil maybe?

I'm pale and combination and love Maybelline super stay foundation. It is very full coverage .

mrssmiling · 27/05/2021 13:23

I bought Max Factor’s Facefinity when it won a Beauty Bible gold award - very good. www.beautybible.com/foundation-liquid-2021

Fkrkrodps · 27/05/2021 13:26

What colour are you usually in Skin foundation? I used to use Skin foundation and switched to Lily Lolo. I’m also very pale. Lily Lolo is not available in Boots or Superdrug and is sold online, however they also sell at some salons as well. There might be one reasonably close to you. I appreciate you specifically said Boots or Superdrug, but wanted to chime in as I know finding foundation can be very difficult if you’re very pale.

MadnessMolly · 27/05/2021 18:41

Thanks everyone.

Fkrk - I use beige, so I'm not super pale, but can easily turn a bit Donald Trump if I'm not careful Grin

Thanks, I had a look but the first comment said 'glowy' which always worries me on top of my own oiliness..

I like No7 Hydraluminous for fuller coverage or when I've got a bit of colour, No7 City Light. Both are around the £14 mark I think.

Spied · 27/05/2021 18:52

Maybelline Fit Me- ( I think it's called).
Fits your brief.

Thanks, is the hydraluminous quite glowy? It sounds like it might be Grin

I really like mabelline urban cover I think it's called it's got SPF 50, which is the highest SPF ive found in a foundation

mog27 · 27/05/2021 19:15

I use the Estée Lauder double wear light because I find the original too heavy. I've tried loads and always go back to this.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 27/05/2021 19:17

Superdrug sell the revolution make up range and there is a cc cream that’s a real dupe for the it cosmetics cc cream. Goes on quite thick but blends out really nicely.
Revolution pro cc perfecting foundation. I usually wear brands like chanel or by terry but like you needed something fast. I really like it. It’s quite Matt without being drying.

Lira91 · 27/05/2021 20:15

I second the Revolution foundations - don't go for the stick ones unless you want to look like a grease ball after a couple of hours! The Conceal and Define one is great coverage and lasts throughout the day. I actually use it as a concealer on my 'no makeup' days, I leave it to set a little for a couple of seconds then use a sponge to blend it out :)

MadnessMolly · 27/05/2021 20:20

Lots of votes for Revolution so I'll hit Superdrug first, then Boots to check out the other recommendations, thank you all!
