Sunburn! Help!

Sat out in a friends garden for a couple of hours today and didn't put any sunscreen on as it's bot that hot or sunny today and I thought my SPF in my moisturiser would be enough as I wear it every day. (SPF 15) It wasn't.

So, please recommend me a high SPF moisturiser which isn't going to make my sensitive dry skin break out in spots or look super greasy all the time. I don't wear make up often but being able to wear it under that would be a bonus.

boots soltan face (sensitive one) is great. You need a proper SPF not a moisturiser with some in

LRP anthelios 50+ Shaka fluid is really good, glowy finish but definitely not greasy.

La Roche posay do a nice one (spf 30) which absorbs well and can be worn under make up. It’s in a thin white tube but afraid I can’t remember the full name. It’s available in boots.

Lessons learned - it is 3 weeks to the UK solstice so uv very high. Silly little pots of facial sunscreen are only suitable for those going from office to lunch, useless otherwise. Temperature is utterly unrelated to uv strength.

Go buy some proper sunscreen aimed at men, not greasy and will actually work. And will cost less. If it is aimed at women, it will be expensive shit.

Bondi Sands SPF50 for Face

Also, even the highest SPFs recommend reapplication am every few hours :)

I use a cheap one from Wilko that is as good as some expensive stuff recommended on here. But, if you are going to be in full sun for a few hours, seriously consider a hat. I have fine hair so my scalp burns easily on my parting. I also always have a scarf with me to cover my collarbone and neck. Am I going to be banned from s&b?

I really like this one.

Thank you all. Normally I'm a factor 50 every few hours sort of girl when out in the sun but got caught out today (first time in years) with the slightly overcast sky.

Will have a look into these Smile
