My eyebrows are waxed too narrow

Aren't they? One is far too short. I will try and grow it back but how to I ask waxing lady to leave them further in to my nose ? Or is she right to have stopped them where they were? Pic for opinions

Yes, they are a bit too far apart, I think. As to how to approach it, if you’ve got brass ovaries I’d just say “I think they were perhaps a bit too far apart last time, could we leave a bit more in the middle this time?”. And if she does it again, it’ll be time to find a new brow lady.

Sisisimone · 25/05/2021 22:35

Yes it looks like she's taken a couple of cm too much off at the edge of your eyebrow. The usual guide is to draw an imaginary straight line from the outer sides of the ball of your nose to yourbrows. Is there a gap when you do this? Use a pencil or straight object to just trace up the side of your nose

TheBobJog · 25/05/2021 22:38

Yes, they look like they should have at least a cm of growth on either side in the middle. Was it there, and she just waxed it off?

AlmostSummer21 · 25/05/2021 22:43

I wouldn't go back to her.

& Ditch the purple eye shadow, it's so 80's.

🤣🤣

Is it not still the trend to remove them & draw huge ones on with what looks like permanent marker?

I'll leave you in peace,,,I'm too badly behaved in S&B 🥸

allofthecheese · 25/05/2021 22:50

Yep they are. They should start where the line of your nose is, so if you drew a vertical line from the sides of the bridge of the nose. I wouldn't go back to her again tbh. Perhaps you can fill them in until they grow back?

3Britnee · 25/05/2021 22:54

I'd find a new brow lady.

MoltonSilver · 25/05/2021 23:06

You shouldn't have to explain to her that they're too far apart. She should know. Find someone new for next time.

Polkapup · 25/05/2021 23:29

Aw I liked the purple eyeshadow! I had fun with that! Yes there was hair there. I'll ask for them longer next time. I'm glad it's not just me. Ok have to draw on ...

I like threading for this exact reason, threaders IME go with a more natural shape and just tidy. I have fairly full brows and they don't take that away they just improve the arch and make them all neat and tidy. I've been to loads of different ones too and none have been hugely expensive

Sisisimone · 26/05/2021 12:11

Don't go back to the same person. If they can't get something that basic right they are no good at their job. I'd honestly be fuming if they'd done that to me.

Sisisimone · 26/05/2021 12:11

And yes, have always found threading much better

ArtfulScreamer · 26/05/2021 12:14

Yep to far apart in the middle definitely time for a new brow lady. Mapping brows should be a basic skill and it clearly isn't one if hers!

Serpenta · 26/05/2021 12:16

I'd be so annoyed. She took a centimetre too much off each eyebrow. Do not give her your business again! Waxing just isn't the most precise way of shaping brows.

Sensateria · 26/05/2021 12:18

Crikey they’ve been butchered. Find yourself a new brow lady.

Your brows should roughly be in line with the bridge of your nose (marked it on your pic) and that’s really basic brow knowledge. She’s taken way too much off.

I agree with this. I've been to tons of different threading placed as I've moved around a lot and only one beautician was over eager to remove a lot but even then they still looked fine it was just thinner than I wanted as I have thick long brows and I don't personally like much taken off them. I didn't go back to her, not because she made any kind of huge error but because I was clear about what I wanted and she didn't listen. It's much easier for threaders to just take a tiny tiny bit off at a time which reduces the chances of accidentally taking a bit chunk off and then having no option but to repeat it on the other side for symmetry hah.
WhatMattersMost · 26/05/2021 13:31

Your waxing lady should not be doing eyebrows. I hope they grow back quickly, OP.

ShoutingBirb · 26/05/2021 15:09

That's terrible waxing. Don't go back to her, find a new beautician.

Polkapup · 26/05/2021 22:07

Looks like she's matched to the outside nostril side almost? I'll try and grow them back and ask for them nearer to my nose. I'm a bit upset about them and now I keep looking. What's best to draw on? Sharp pencil? Sharpie in brown. Fine nib?!

honeybuns007 · 26/05/2021 22:18

Why are you planning to go back to her? She's obviously not very good. She's not improved the overall shake either. Seriously, find someone new.

Sisisimone · 26/05/2021 22:20

For gods sake don't go back to her, that's shocking what she's done there. I'd recommend Benefit Precisely My Brow to draw them back in.

Sisisimone · 26/05/2021 22:21

You might even want to consider microblading
