Help! Need a decent minimiser bra

Hi all, I’ve always always hated my breasts. I’ve been around a 34DD for years and am an apple shape (slim legs but thick elsewhere!). Since starting peri menopause my boobs have got bigger and I absolutely can’t stand them. I can’t afford reduction surgery so am looking for recommendations for great minimiser bras please. God I am so jealous of those with lovely smell boobs!

A 34dd is really not a large size in a properly fitting bra and an ill fitting one can make breats look bigger, more cleavage etc. I'd suggest that you properly measure to start with; BoB (Boob or Bust) is a great place to start and whilst you'll likely do down in your band size and up some cup sizes the fit should give you a much more supported shape.

Well I did the boob or bust and apparently I’m a size 32FF!!!! Which makes me feel even worse! I desperately need a minimiser bra now! Sad

Please dont feel worse, it's just the suggested bra size that has changed not your actual body. I'd suggest trying a regular bra in the suggested size and go from there. Being in a properly fitting bra made a really positive difference to how I saw myself, I no longer felt like I was 'spilling' out or uncomfortable.

Think of it like clothes...wearing something that is too small can actually made you look bigger than wearing the correct size

I'm a 34gg. This isn't huge by any means and when I'm wearing the correct size, I'm in proportion.

Thanks for your support ladies (no pun intended!). I’ve ordered a couple of bras to try. I just hate my boobs and always have but now I’m nearing 50 (!!!) and they’re getting bigger, I just feel even more grumpy and matronly than I did before. Sad

Frumpy, not grumpy - although that may have been a Freudian slip!

Hopefully you find something that works for you. The BoB facebook page is a great resource and has lots of before and after pics in the albums which show the difference a proper fit can make. I found in my 'before' bras I had a mono-boob which looked matronly and spilled out the sides. I've had none of that since changing the size and they look much better and less out there than before. Was wearing a 38d now in a 34/36gg

I think I read a thread on here recommending the Triumph one.

Or it coukd have been Reddit but the op was raving about it saying that it looks natural and you drop a bra size.
