Best nude opaque nail varnish please

I'm fed up of buying nude/pale pink polishes and then not being opaque. Any recommendations!? I've been looking at opi- movie buff, machupeachu, don't boss'a nova around.

Also opi my very first knockwurst. Any suggestions?

Nails Inc polish is very good but you really should use the base and topcoat.

For truly opaque nudes and pale pinks gel is best.

I have never come across a nude nail polish that is really opaque. They just don't have the consistency and pigmentation. As a PP said, for opacity you need a gel.

I like essie - ballet slippers. Less than three coats gives an opaque finish.

All the OPI nail polishes you mentioned are opaque. I’m not a fan of Essie ballet slippers. It has a crelly finish so isn’t completely opaque.

CND Vinylux in Field Fox is good.

I've just been on exactly the same mission! CND vinylux cashmere wrap was supposed to be "the one" but it was awful. Streaky and the colour didn't work with my skin tone. Essie Ballet Slippers was too sheer for me and Essie Topless & Barefoot was didn't work at all - too orangey beige for me.

I've since tried 2 x Nails Inc colours and am happy with both. London Court is a pinky nude and Colville Mews is more beige. Might be worth a look.

Essie Not Just A Pretty Face and Eternal Optimist are both pinky nudes on me - Eternal Optimist is definitely the more opaque of the two.

I use Ballet Slippers for the 'white' bit if I'm doing a French manicure as it's very pale on me but without being as glaring as actual white. Mademoiselle is somewhere inbetween but probably too sheer .

Agree with pp, Nails Inc are good. I like the caviar top and base coats
Just wanted to say avoid the Ted Baker nudes, they're milky not opaque and so thin its difficult to use.

Yes, the Ted Baker ones are shit, I tried them and gave them to Dd who binned them.
Total waste of money.

Absolutely. I wouldn’t buy anything now that isn’t used in salons. So many expensive mistakes. Looking at you, Chanel.

I couldn't find nails inc in boots or Superdrug. I ended up buying Essie romper room and not just a pretty face. Not just a pretty face is not opaque but I put romper room on as a base and two coats of not just a pretty face. It's lovely. Any other suggestions welcome x

@mommybunny M&S still sell Nails Inc. Nails Inc has also recently started selling at Superdrug (selected stores and online)

Essie Sand Tropez is fantastic - was my wedding colour

The Nailberry protector/undercoat is fantastic. If you put a couple of coats on it builds a very subtle pink and it does not budge. My nails have been transformed since I started using nailberry.

Essie ballet slippers or Mademoiselle. A lot of people say Essie chips but I think it’s the best- with some seche vite top coat.
Essie sand tropez mentioned above is lovely too but I found that quite beige on my skin tone- the others I’ve suggested are more pink.
