i love their website, but have ordered twice unsuccessfully - shirt was see through and another too small,

I love Sezane. Usually can only afford to shop the archives though as it's very pricey.
You need to make sure you have registered the return on the website otherwise it doesn't go through and you won't get the refund. I have always found them very responsive to emails so might be worth contacting them.

I love the look of the clothes online but have yet to brave an order. What’s the sizing like? And do you get stung for UK import duty? Sorry to hijack the thread...

Lan2020 · 24/05/2021 21:51

I love Sezane but agree it's pricey. It's been hit and miss with which items I've kept as I find they often come up big and I've not like the material of some items. Refunds haven't been too bad except I can never download the return label and always have to ask customer service.

Lan2020 · 24/05/2021 21:52

@FourTurnings no import duty Smile

FourTurnings · 24/05/2021 21:55

Coming up big is okay, I’m a fat 10 if that makes sense 😀

Thanks Lan2020

Absolutely love it. I would buy literally all of it if I could afford it! Especially love their blouses, knitwear and accessories. Have had no issues with returns although it can take a fortnight to get the notification email. Oh to be a willowy French 20-something...

MissKittyKitty · 24/05/2021 22:04

I have a lovely shirt from there; I kept it but should have sent it back. The sizing is all wrong for me. It's made for someone with a narrow back, a large chest and skinny arms.

I'm a normal size 8 and the sleeves are really tight on my biceps, it's also very tight across my back yet very loose at the front in the chest area. I've never ever had a blouse with such bizarre sizing.

As I said I kept it as it was lovely but the fit is awful and that's what putting me off from ordering from them again.

Goodwordguide · 24/05/2021 22:10

Love Sezane though usually buy second hand or archives because it's £££. Especially like the knitwear, white lacy blouses, and the jewellery. The leather accessories are also lovely and excellent quality.

I've found knitwear and blouses are generously sized, trousers are a bit hit and miss - long in the leg and narrow waisted in proper French waif fashion.

Customer service is v good when you contact them direct. I've never had a problem with returns though I usually pay and send it to them direct- hence try to avoid returns.

There are many Sezane addict groups on FB - some people are seriously into the brand. Is it the same with other brands or is Sezane different in inspiring these levels of loyalty?!

Read the numerous Trustpilot reviews regarding refunds. Sadly, I can confirm that this was also my experience - awful. The quality of most of the items of clothing I've received has been poor and they smell revolting on arrival. I have purchased some lovely pieces of jewellery though.

WinstonsWeirdVole · 24/05/2021 23:15

It’s really hit and miss IME. I’ve had some lovely pieces from them over the years but others have been poorly/oddly cut and I think they’re too expensive for what they are. Their knitwear shrinks terribly and they also use far too many synthetics for my liking! Their photos are so irritating as they often don’t show what the garments truly look like. Also agree the perfume they spray on everything is grim! I used to spend £££ there but have gone off them lately.

scatteredglitter · 24/05/2021 23:27

interesting responses

I m awaiting a third and final attempt orders, though i m crossing everything that they sort out my refunds as they owe me a lot. i had to really chase the last refund. tagging them in instagram seemed to work

Most of these responses do not match my experiences at all!
Over the past year I've sold most of my clothes & updated my wardrobe & I'd say 80% of it is from Sezane!
I've ordered multiple times & only sent back 2 items which didn't fit / suit me.
I love the packaging & the clothes certainly never smell revolting to me!

I now have 5 blouses/ shirts & 5 t-shirts & 3 cardigans & 1 jumper as well as several jeans & trousers & a jacket

The quality of the fabric of the shirts is brilliant, proper lovely poplin style cotton. And I love the attention to detail.

I also mostly wear clothes from Whistles, Jigsaw, Palones & some Noa Noa..

I'm a big fan (though not in any fan clubs so far!)
I'm late 40s, 5ft 9" size 12 with modest boobs so find the cut works for me..I tend towards apple shape if I don't really watch it so I pick styles wisely any way

EllaPaella · 25/05/2021 10:13

I agree with pp, I've never experienced bad quality from Sezane.
