Dungarees!!

I really want a pair of slouchy dungarees, preferably jersey lightweight type material. I like the narrow leg style and definitely not cropped!

I found a pair at 'Jaki' but they were supposedly one sized and absolutely drowned me, I looked like I'd been attacked by a king sized duvet Grin

I'm 5ft 4 and slim, so hopefully they'll suit me, although at 50, the teen dc will probably eye roll when I wear them!

Any idea where to find them?!

I love dungarees but I haven’t come across any jersey ones. The Lucy and Yak corduroy originals would give you the slouchy but not drowning slimmer leg look (sizing is key) but obviously they aren’t jersey. They are however super soft.
I have a jersey sleeveless jumpsuit from hush that I could layer as dungarees but it has an elasticated waist although very comfy.

Thank you, the cord ones look really good, are they quite lightweight cord? I'm a bit odd/fussy about fabrics which doesn't help my search!

Was going to say Lucy & Yak too! Cords are great. Not sure what you mean by lightweight but they do hang well.

Littlefluffyclouds13 · 24/05/2021 07:44

I can't stand thick/stiff chunky cord but the way you're both describing them sounds perfect.
Great company too!

The L&Y cord is sturdy but not thick. It gets a lot softer after a few washes.

Lucy and Yak.

I'm oggling after a pair of pink cord wide leg ones.

I'm just trying to convince myself the £62 is worth it!

Procrastatron · 24/05/2021 18:57

@itsgettingwierd the Eastons? I ordered those and sent them back as too much fabric for me. The cord seems heavier than the original style ones and that combined with the oversized fit felt too much fabric for what is a summer colour. However, I’ve just taken delivery of the coral in cotton (sized down) and it’s love

Agree - for the original style
sonjadog · 24/05/2021 19:13

Yes, that's true. I only have the originals. I have tried the Eastons but the style doesn't suit me.

KirstenBlest · 24/05/2021 19:56

Lucy & Yak and order more than one style as the fit is different.
Follow their sizing details. I didn't like the printed fabric but the twill and cord ones are nice. I have Lunas and cord originals. The Umi ones didn' suit me but they were stripy and I looked like Andy Pandy's scraggy nan in them.

As a regular dungarees-wearer, I also recommend Gap.

I'm the same height but a few years older than you and usually get compliments on my dungarees.

Run and Fly maybe? I haven't got any but have seen then recommended
