Eyes suddenly so puffy in the mornings!

What is this all about!! I've never had much of a problem before but in the last couple of weeks I look like I've been punched in the eyes when I wake up - so puffy both on my eyelids and under my eyes. It dissipates a bit after I'm up and about but I need some miracle product which works quickly!
I'm not dehydrated and I haven't changed pillows or anything... any products I should try?

hayfever?
do you drink alkohol?

TaraR2020 · 23/05/2021 20:53

Have you tried an antihistamine?

LucysSkyDiamonds · 23/05/2021 20:58

Sugar? I find it worse than booze for the puffy face.

Sounds like an leggy.

IsThePopeCatholic · 23/05/2021 21:14

An allergy.

Thanks for all the quick replies!

I do drink but only a couple of times a week and some of the most puffy mornings are when I've not had any in a few days so I don't think it's linked.

Interesting about the sugar, sometimes I'll have some chocolate after dinner so I'll have to monitor that to see if there's a link.

I do get a bit of hay fever so maybe that could be the problem...would I need to take an antihistamine before bed or when I get up?

My son had this when he had very low iron lever

bigfloweryblouse · 23/05/2021 21:37

I have the same. Just come in the past week. I think it is tree pollen

PlanDeRaccordement · 23/05/2021 21:45

Tree pollen always reacts in eyes. Take an antihistamine. There are ones that last 24hrs that you take once a day. They do take a few days to build up, so don’t be disheartened if not instant change to your eyes.

ZednotZee · 23/05/2021 21:47

The ordinary caffeine solution or kokostar eye patches

I suffer too, always have. I look most fresh faced at 6pm

thinkfast · 23/05/2021 22:19

I have this with hay fever. Allergy eye drops help as do Some of the cheapo under eye fade masks for puffy eyes. Make sure you get preservative free eye drops as if you have sensitive eyes the preservatives can make it worse.

octopusrus · 23/05/2021 23:28

Thank you for the recommendations, yes maybe it is a pollen thing so will look into eye drops as well as the morning creams.
