I am in the worst mumsy style rut and I can’t get out. Please help me style and beauty board!

I have no idea where to go for the things I liked pre kids that always made my outfits look... styled and different.

Some of my old favourites- my now ancient high top converse with skull print, my sky high super chunky biker books covered in buckles, a good leather jacket. What website or shop am I missing that would add these kind of touches to otherwise fairly plan jeans and top outfits?

I'm going to say AllSaints, or Religion.

Was going to say All Saints as well depending on your budget, although I'm wondering if it might be a bit too 'refined' biker for you? Perhaps you're looking for something edgier?

All Saints, Religion, Little Lies

Ah thanks so much! I will definitely check these out. I am happy with websites rather than shops, I like quite a few things from wolf and badger at the moment although I’ve yet o actually buy.

Also on my wish list for a long time, something from the ‘screw it’ range of Motley Pearl jewellery. Pearls with big old screws through them, pretty much!! In case that’s a bit of a clearer idea than my first post 😅

AllSaints come up on the small side I'd say but ime, everything lasts very well.

OP I saw a woman with glittery converse high tops on recently who must have been in her 40s, she looked amazing and I’ve been looking at the converse website recently on the section where you can personalise your own 😍

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. I’ve been scrolling through EMP today round about work. Some of it is a bit goth for me, but there’s lots of things that I could definitely see myself in. I think I’ve lost confidence a bit since the kids, I was always very slim and I never minded going a bit alternative or a bit 50s because I knew I could pull it off. Now I’m just all leggings and jumper dresses even though I’m still young!! (Only mid 30s).

OP if you like 50s what about joanieclothing.com/ or even vintage shops?

Sounds like Zadig and Voltaire would be very good for you. It’s not cheap but the pieces I’ve seen have been beautifully made

EMP have various ranges, Red is less goth but black premium have great basics but a bit different.

I love some of the suggesthat were suggested on the page. The jacket is nice but if you wanted something less gothy I would wear it with one if my band t shirts.
However there's 100s of tops on the site that will be great. It just depends if you are wearing it for everyday or going to a steam punk 🤔 😂

The suggestions are too much for me. I’m definitely a one alternative or unusual piece in amongst a plainer outfit kinda gal!
