Itchy regrowth (maybe TMI sorry!)

I Use an IPL for hair removal. Lockdown boredom etc and I went full on in the bikini line and took as much off as I could. The last few bits where you can’t use an IPL I’ve been shaving but it’s incredibly irritating when it starts to grow back. Any solutions? I was thinking of waxing but I read the regrowth is itchy for that too? Thanks!

Regrowth just is itchy.

Removing pubic hair is a bit naff these days - scraping around your genitals with chemicals, blades and hot wax is neither stylish nor beautiful.

Why not give yourself a lovely pedicure?

If it’s inflamed there’s a lotion called Tend skin you can use to relieve it.

Thanks @Fluffycloudland77. it’s not inflamed just a bit itchy.

@Oenanthe this is style and beauty so I came here for advice on my question not judgement thanks.

Have you tried the Femfresh shaving balm? I always get quite itchy after shaving my bikini area, but this stuff really helps. Its less than a fiver on Amazon.

I always moisturise afterwards (normally cerave sa) but before I discovered cerave I'd use my face cream. Strangely never had the regrowth itchiness despite waxing/shaving for far too many years 🤔

I think it best if we stick to the OP’s question too, not make judgemental comments about her choices. If someone stops you in the street and asks directions, you don’t suggest they go somewhere else.

The following has worked for me for many years, even before full hair removal was so popular. But remember all skin types are different.

Use a good quality hair conditioner as opposed to shaving creams etc and ensure you have a fresh sharp blade. The Gillette Venus Raspberry, works for me. Shave daily for several weeks and the skin should get used to it and itching should stop. You can then cut back on how often you choose to do it. Personally, l find it quick and simple to run the razor over as part of my morning shower regime.

I get itchy regrowth after my Hollywood waxes. I use a really coarse exfoliater when regrowth starts and it solves the problem. The one I use is called Ruff Stuff, it’s great and smells amazing!

Thanks everyone, much appreciated. Will try these tips.
