Summer wedding guest outfit

So, wedding is end of July, postponed from last year. Bride is daughter of a friend, my daughter is bridesmaid, so I’m not part of the bridal party. Small country church, large reception 100+ guests.
I’m 62 (I think a ‘young’ 62 😆) 5’6” and weigh about 60kg, in proportion. Dark blonde bob hairstyle.
Looking for a midi length dress which is smart enough for a wedding but can still be worn afterwards - most things I’ve seen are too weddingy or too casual, nothing inbetween. Prefer a short/three quarter sleeve to sleeveless, not really into florals (although may consider) so would prefer block colour or spots/stripes/geometric. Budget about £200. My ‘go to’ places would be Whistles, Jigsaw, Boden, but maybe hankering after something a bit edgier?
Will be attending as a single guest so need to feel good about myself!
Any budding stylists out there can help please?
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried The Pretty Dress Company? Loads of nice dresses and plenty with 3/4 length sleeves. Not ‘edgy’ though- but the dresses are lovely! www.theprettydresscompany.com/back-in-stock-c18

Just had a look, had not heard of this company before! I agree, the dresses are lovely, and the colours are beautiful - I think the styles are maybe a bit more formal than I had in mind though, but thank you Daria32 - always nice to be introduced to a new brand!

Other stories have quite a few nice ones actually that I can imagine would be easy to wear afterwards Smile

Following this as mother of the bride next year and no idea what to where!😁

If I was as slim as you I'd wear

A couple of spotted dresses.

Slightly over budget, but might be worth a look.

Winser have quite a lot of sale bargains.

I’ve recommended this dress on a few threads...might not be edgy/smart enough for you, but lots of different prints to choose from in a silk mix, and looks good.
Way under budget, but leaves more for shoes and accessories etc!

@squiz81 - love the Poetry dress, maybe a contender! (love the skirt version too.....)

@Beachlovingirl - love the dress but think the colour would wash me out unfortunately

@goose1964 - hmmmm....my 62 year old arms are not attractive 😆

@mrssmiling - both of the spotted dresses are right up my street, I had actually already clocked the LK Bennett one. Not so sure about the silk one though.

Thanks so much everyone x

Following this as Im looking for something similar for a Cornish wedding in July. I love the Poetry one but it is slightly beyond my budget.

I’ve had a few from Monsoon for special occasions, definitely wearable again.

That's not a dress, it's a repurposed sack. Def not wedding wear
