Animal print and thoughts on this dress (photo)

So, it's the print that has been everywhere for years! Everywhere I look there is some form of animal print! And I hate it! I sometimes feel stuck because I like the look of an item but when I look closer and see it's animal print it puts me off. I wear a lot of florals and am trying to have a change but don't know what to go for.
That said, I quite like this dress but it's animal print.
What do others think? Anyone else not an animal print fan?

It's lovely, but I'm obsessed with leopard print Blush

@Cocolapew I'm assuming everyone is and that's what it is everywhere 🤣 I feel I'm the only hater! I feel that 80% of clothes on the websites I look at are animal print!

I don't mind animal print but this is a pretty aggressive print! I would prefer it if it was a bit more muted.

Totally different style of dress, but if you're looking for a good middle ground between florals & full-on animal print, something like this pattern might work?

Or something in Dalmatian print!

I am a bit like you op! I'm tall and a good size 16, so I don't think leopard print suits my big frame.

I do like that dress though. It's very nice.

I heard some fashion vlogger person saying that leopard print won't be much of a fixture after this season though. Could be BS of course!

Lan2020 · 22/05/2021 17:12

@MaryTheMiddle I really hope that's true! We need more variety. Everything seems to be some form of animal print.

@otterbaby yes I think you're right. I'm not even sure why I like it but I think.my dislike of animal print is enough to put me off.

Young, slim and lovely (like the model in the pic) - love animal print.

Middle aged, curvy with big boobs - animal print can slip into Bet Lynch territory GrinGrin

MaryTheMiddle · 22/05/2021 17:21

@Laiste, Yes, I think that's my fear BlushGrin! This is exactly why I avoid. Bet Lynch or a fat Cat Slater on a bad day is how I feel in leopard print!

FearlessFairy · 22/05/2021 17:21

I love animal print, always have done but even I am getting bored of it!!
I'm the opposite to you, as I never wear floral. I was just thinking the other day I need to add some more floral into my wardrobe.

I do like the dress that you linked.
