45 & have £100 JL vouchers to buy new make up - recommendations please as I’m overwhelmed!

I’m 45 & looking tired. My make up is old and doesn’t suit me any more. I was given £100 of John Lewis vouchers & I’d like to use them to buy some new make up but I’m overwhelmed by the choice & don’t know what to buy.

My colouring is olivey skin with dark bits under eyes & on lids which I’d like to cover but when I put eyeshadow on it goes all wrinkly and looks awful. Brown eyes & brown highlighted hair.

I like light, natural looking make up. I want to look healthy & glowing if that’s possible when most of the time I’m a bit knackered!

Please can anyone help me out with some recommendations or which brands might be a good place to start?

Many thanks

My other go to is Bare minerals complexion rescue. Very light coverage, again very natural.

Depends how much coverage your after really.

I'm 45 too and would head to the Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier counters if I wanted to spend £100 on make up in JL. I asked about testers at the Bobbi Brown counter in JL recently and they do have some way of letting you try colours out. You can't just go and play around with testers like you could pre Covid-19 but they had mini samples you could use I think.
