Really need advice on plus size clothes and what is flattering

I have struggled with my weight for a while and put on even more over the last year. As we haven't been able to go out much clothes haven't been too much of an issue but now I am really struggling - I have nothing to wear and feel like nothing suits me. I'm short (only 5ft 3in), have big boobs and a big stomach so I feel like I have no shape at all. I have been talking to someone online and there has been mention of meeting up and I am terrified! Aside from all my general anxieties about what I look like and what he will think I have nothing to wear and I'm panicking. I can't find anything that looks remotely ok on me,

Does anyone have any recommendations for good plus size fashion or general advice on dressing if you are basically barrel shaped!

Thanks

xx

I’m a similar height and shape to you. I tend to go for tunic tops and empire line dresses with a v neck, to show off the boobs and skim the belly. I buy from Seasalt, simplyBe, Yours and Evans but would love more ideas.

V neck tops are a god send for me (I'm a similar size)

Thanks, I'll look at some of websites you've suggested. I sometimes think wrap dresses should be quite flattering but in reality they tend to gape over my boobs no matter what size I buy. I wish I at least at a waist, I just feel so unattractive and shapeless.

I'm a size 20, a bit taller than you, with big boobs and a tummy, and mostly wear either shirt dresses or skinny jeans with a tunic top. Always a low neckline, not round - my collarbones need to be visible. The key is trying lots of things on - it's more difficult to tell how things will fit on plus size figures. I am struggling not being able to go in changing rooms!

Wrap dresses never fit me either, I think they're better on smaller boobs to give an illusion of curves.

I like Simply Be, Next and Yours.

I find wrap dresses really unflattering, too much material around my, already bulky, waist.

I prefer separates, skirts and tops, or straight leg jeans and a top. Sounds daft but due to my height (5'3) tunic tops make me look short, so tops that finished at the waist are better. A shirt dress is the best dress I've found

I'm booby with a bloating stomach and the most flattering shape is a straight dress with an elasticated waist. I have 3 bought 2 in Primark and one from Warehouse
