If I like Sezane, what else will I like?

I cannot find any clothes I like at the moment other than Sezane. I'm starting to feel like a walking (un)advertisement for them.

I've looked at Sandro and Maje and nothing appeals. I used to like Comptoir des Cottoniers but haven't liked much for the last year or so ..

Then have the limitation of being short (5 foot, so i tend to get Sezane stuff tailored afterwards), big boobs (currently even bigger due to breastfeeding) and am about a stone heavier than normal post-baby.

Help! Please.

Bash? It’s also a french brand. Expensive but for the odd investment piece?
Bought a beautiful skirt from them a few years ago and wore it to so many events/parties (ah them were the days). So cost per wear not too bad.

BA&SH

babynohair · 21/05/2021 12:29

Thank you! They look lovely and I've not come across them before.

There is a facebook group for Sezane dupes. Sorry, I don't know the name.

Also, Mango and Zara sometimes have Sezane-esque pieces. Or Free People? Similar French brands might be Rouje, Sandro, Claudie Pierlot, Maje, Musier Paris, Opullence.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 21/05/2021 12:35

Oh sorry I missed your mention of Sandro and Maje!

babynohair · 21/05/2021 14:30

Thank you - lots of browsing to do during the middle of the night feeds Grin

Maje, Sandro, BASH, claudine pierlot

brushlaptop · 21/05/2021 14:31

Badly spelt but you know what I mean!

UniBallEye · 21/05/2021 14:36

OP have a look at Danish brand Noa Noa which I think can be closer in style to Sezane than Sandro etc

There used to be a Noa Noa shop in my city and over the years i bought lots of really lovely things there. They use gorgeous fabrics, often have a slight vintage feel.

I'd say quality is definitely on a par with Sezane, if not in some cases better.

It's also worth taking a look at Wyse London, they also have some gorgeous fabrics etc but can be on the pricey side.

I love Sezane and have quite a few things from there so I'm also interested in this thread!

Salanda · 21/05/2021 14:36

Rouje, Bellerose, &Other Stories’ Parisian line? Have fun browsing!

Yellowtulips33 · 21/05/2021 14:44

Bellerose, Leon & Harper, Lolly's Laundry, Essential Antwerp, Ganni

AllisoninWunderland · 21/05/2021 15:12

Free People.

wanadu2022 · 21/05/2021 15:20

Love Sézane! I also shop at &otherstories, All Saints, Rouje, APC, and J Crew. I used to like Malin Birger too but haven't shopped there in a while.

Mulletsaremisunderstood · 21/05/2021 15:24

What's the Sezane sizing like? I've seen a few things I like but it would be a faff to send them back if the fit is all wrong.

UnreasonablyPissedOff · 21/05/2021 15:27

I've bought a few things from Sezane & I'm usually a size 12 & I found bottom half true to size , & tops big so got size S

Thedogshow · 21/05/2021 15:31

Does anyone know if you need to pay import costs on Sezane orders online? A friend of mine did soon after Brexit. She was refunded by them but it was a massive hassle.

UnreasonablyPissedOff · 21/05/2021 15:58

I'm in EU so it doesn't affect me

@Thedogshow I’ve ordered a few times and it’s been fine. I think there were a few issues immediately after Brexit but all sorted now - you just need to make sure you order from the UK part of the site.
EllaPaella · 21/05/2021 17:20

@Mulletsaremisunderstood I find Sezane sizing reasonably generous. I am a 10-12 in UK sizing and wear small in Sezane.

EllaPaella · 21/05/2021 17:21

Or a 10

allfurcoatnoknickers · 21/05/2021 20:40

Fabienne Chapot! Similar cuts but brighter colors and patterns. I have her lobster shirt and have had people chase me down the street to ask me where it's from.

She has her own site, and she's on ASOS.

niceupthedance · 21/05/2021 20:52

Des petits haute (hopefully spelled that correctly)

lonelySam · 21/05/2021 21:04

Fabienne Chapot used to be good about two years ago but she switched fabrics and the quality isn't there. Not worth the money imo.

sanitygirl · 21/05/2021 23:16

How about this dress from The Kooples - short, long sleeves, not a plunging neckline

babynohair · 22/05/2021 01:27

Thank you, everyone! Lots to look at, and lots of brands I've never come across before. Lolly's Laundry and BA&SH in particular have some stuff I am very tempted by. Shame about Fabienne Chapot!

@sanitygirl your link goes to a list of all Kooples dresses, but I'd love to know which one you're talking about.

@Mulletsaremisunderstood as pp says, Sezane sizing is quite generous. Even with my extra stone and and more generous bosom my dresses (size 8) still just about fit. Bottoms, sadly not so. I find their measurement chart quite accurate for their clothes which has been important since I moved abroad and can't return them.
