How much perfume should you wear?

Reading previous threads, posters frequently comment that they have been stopped in the street and asked about some perfume or other. I don’t think I ever wear enough perfume for a passer-by to notice my scent. Is it just that I choose the wrong perfumes? Am I using too little? Or do scents just project more for some people than others?

What is the right amount of perfume to use?

There's no hard and fast rule. Some perfumes can fill a room and others are more subtle. If you're wearing something strong then two spray s should be enough. For weaker sprays or eau de toilette I spray my sleeves and scarf. Ten sprays of Angel in a smal office would be a bit unfair on colleagues but I have a white musk eau de toilette that I can spray 8 times and barely smell it. Also bear in mind that after a while your nose gets used to a perfume and will stop noticing it, but other people will still be able to.
