What to wear Size 18 and not look frumpy?

I am feeling quite down having been hospitalised with Covid and having had a broken leg, meaning that exercise is not coming easily. I am size 18 having not exercised since October and really want some lovely clothes to meet with friends. I am 5ft7, brunette and with freckles and like to cover my arms. Please find me some amazing outings that will make me happy to wear. Mainly looking for casual type dresses, trousers etc.

We’re the same height, size and colouring by the sound of it and I find John Lewis really good, particularly the John Lewis and Partners brand. They have some really good offers too - John Lewis is really underrated in my opinion! I tend to be quite a plain dresser so for me it tends to be trousers (usually 7/8 cropped) a t shirt (John Lewis own brand £9 one is good) and some type of jacket....casual and not too fussy
