It's been recommended to me - has anybody used this? £50 feels quite steep so want to know if it's worth it before I fork out or if there are any decent cheaper alternatives.

Thanks in advance!

I have it - but won’t repurchase. I think it’s overpriced & l am also on the lookout for an alternative.
I like the Hollywood filter though…

Actually, l remember that Revolution do a similar thing / l’ve got it! Grin 🤦‍♀️

ThatIsMyPotato · 18/05/2021 18:57

I like the bronzer, I use the light shade but I have nicer highlighters.

I got a mini version from her website. It was £25

Thankyou all

@withlotsoflove is the Revolution one any good. Also, what's the Hollywood filter for?

Thanks

The Revolution one wasn’t as highly pigmented- but… l don’t find the CT one to be that strong either.
The flawless filter can be used as a highlighter / or all over the face to make a sort of ‘ air brushed’ look.
You can also mix a bit in your foundation. I’ve had mine ages - as l have a face the size of a mouse 😂& it hasn’t gone off or separate etc….

*separated.

Might be worth getting this. I have one and love it - an older version, the bottom portion was 1 large bronzer, 2 small blush, 1 large highlighter. I think this new version is better you don't use highlighter anywhere near as much as a bronzer so such a large pan didn't make sense and I think her pressed powder is really lovely so that addition is great. The eyeshadows are in really wearable pretty colours. Also, nice sized mirror so good for travelling www.charlottetilbury.com/uk/product/instant-look-in-a-palette-pretty-blushed-beauty

I like the Hollywood filter. I use mine before foundation and find it gives a dewy glow and subtly smooths imperfections.

I'm a big fan of lots of her makeup, I've got 3 different foundations (different coverage levels) and like them all.

FullOfSong · 20/05/2021 16:19

I have Filmstar Bronze & Glow in 'fair-medium' and despite being really, really pale I find that the bronzer is too light and looks invisible on me. I still use it but more because I know it was £50 but honestly it makes no difference on my face.

I do like the highlighter as it gives a natural glow to the skin but I prefer other highlighters (including the Hollywood Filter as mentioned by other posters on this thread)

catsandsprogs · 20/05/2021 19:48

I think I'll try the Hollywood filter Smile

The film star bronze and glow was one of the most disappointing products I've tried - I was so excited to get it but it was so meh.. the bronzer is so light and the highlighter cannot be seen at all. Far too subtle and I love the no makeup look! I'd give it a miss and get something else - the multi pallet above looks good

yellowdenim · 20/05/2021 20:10

Another vote for the Hollywood filter. Makes my skin look so dewy.
