Hi.
Is a Philips Lumea a good investment? Im thinking of laser for my bikini line (or lack of - I like to have it fully smooth), a recently appeared moustache (I'm in my mid 40s) and legs.
Salon laser treatment is eye wateringly expensive so was thinking of doing a home job.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I have had salon laser treatment and now use the Braun which is very similar to the Lumea.

The salon treatment I had was through Skn and 8 sessions of a Hollywood. Although it did reduce the hair, I really don’t think it was worth the £600 I paid for it. I’m getting just as good results with the Braun machine at home and it’s obviously a lot less time consuming than going to a salon and you can use it all over rather than just the area you’ve paid for.

I’ve been using a Philips Lumea through lockdown as have two friends. The friends have Mediterranean heritage, pale olive skin dark hair and it’s worked well for them. I’m fairly pale with dark blonde/light brown hair (leg hair is darker though) and it really hasn’t worked well on me except on bikini line.

I’ve now started salon laser treatment, was told it works on anyone except red hair/blonde eyelash people. We shall see.

Yep I bought the Lumea Prestige. Worth every penny, I no longer resemble chewbakka Smile

Thanks Fizzypink. That's my concern...spending so much money and it not being a good investment.

I have no experience of at home options, but I am currently getting salon (sk:n) laser treatment on bikini area and underarms. The schedule has been effected by lockdown, I have had 4 sessions since September and the results for me have been fantastic. In the treated area I have virtually no regrowth now. I do have very pale skin and very dark hair, so I am a 'good candidate' from what I understand. And obviously I cannot comment on the longevity as I haven't even finished the sessions, I have 4 more to go.
