Primark Period Pants - A Review!

Just in case anyone is considering buying them.

I usually use the Love Luna brand from Sainsbury’s (£12 per pair), but at £13 for 3, I thought it worth giving Primark a go.

First impression: they’re nice thick, cottony material, compared to Love Luna which almost feel like swimsuit fabric. They also come in colours other than black which I like.

I’m normally a 10/12, which isn’t a size in Primark, so I went for 12/14. They’re slightly on the small side, so I’ll have to be careful what I wear them under to avoid a vpl.

I wore them today, which seemed like a light-medium day, though it’s hard to be certain as the interior gusset is black, so you can’t see how much you’ve bled.

I felt dry all day, and didn’t notice any smell. However it wasn’t until I changed them on getting home from work I realised I’d leaked through. I couldn’t tell from the inside due to the black lining, but after taking them off it was very obvious on the outside.

Ultimately, I’ll be sticking with the Love Lunas, which is a shame as they’re more pricey. I’ll keep these for those annoying spotting days at the end of a cycle, but they’re no use for an actual period.

Thank you for this review! I’ve been searching the internet for a couple of days to look for a review on these because they are so cheap I’m skeptical.

Ah we got some for one if my DDs to go alongside her Modibodies. I’ll give her the heads up to save them for end of period days. Thank you

I actually quite like these. I wouldn't say they hold the amount they claim to hold but for anyone on lighter days or for light leaks, I think these are perfect.

Cotton material is so much nicer than the other matierals. I bought another brand one and have barely worn them because of that.

I was trying to figure out how absorbent they could possibly be at that price. I'll get some for spares and light days.

Thanks @MrsFionaCharming, I wasn't even aware that Primark were making them. I think I'll get some for DD as well to save fir her lighter days.
