Corporate photo - what to wear / makeup tips?

I have to have a formal photo taken for company website and I’m dreading it - I hate having my photo taken and feel really self conscious.
I’m early 40s with tired looking skin and eyes. Dark hair and olive skin.
I plan to get a blow dry beforehand as I often do anyway and my hair looks much better that way.

But I have no idea what to do about makeup or clothes. Does anyone have any tips on what not to wear or best products to use?

A light colour top - cream or white - will reflect light on to your face.

When you have your photo taken, tell yourself that you are gorgeous and very good at your job, relax and smile.

Stand up straight, tummy in and bum in - pretend you have a string holding you up.

I wear heavier make up than usual, especially blusher and lipstick. A jacket, small earrings and a statement (not bonkers) necklace.
I also make a bit of a fuss by asking the photographer if I can see the results and choose a nice one/ ask for a retake. As otherwise they just shoot and move on to the next person! So don't be afraid to ask.

Definitely wear foundation or tinted moisturiser to give your face an even colour. Go for slightly heavier but very neutral/natural makeup (not bright red lips or heavy eyeliner.
Definitely go for cream or pale top, no patterns.

I have the same hair and skin colour as you and wore a smart dark green top as that colour seems to suit me well.

Earrings always look well.

I wore neutral make up too, but the mistake I made was not wearing a light lip gloss.
