I'm so sad to have to post this about a business I previously loved.
I have supported and bought from Slugs & Snails for 7 years, always clothing my kids in their tights and other bits and bobs. I never thought the people behind it were so mean.
I ordered some of their pjs from the new waffle collection before Christmas. They talked about massive delays, and how they wouldn't be able to get the items out to customers until 2021.
Yesterday I noticed on their page they were talking about a new collection coming in. So I just popped them a quick message asking when the last lot were being sent out. I got an incredibly rude message back telling me they were already sent, and if I hadn't received mine then it was my own fault for not contacting sooner. Despite fact I was trying not to overwhelm them with queries as they had said there were delays.
I then asked if they could look into it for me, and they got enraged saying how dare I message them on a Sunday (but they were replying on a Sunday?) All they needed to say was we'll get back to you on Monday, so it made no sense.
They finished by saying how dare I complain when she is in the middle of cooking dinner for her kids 🤔. So was I, but I hadn't asked her to reply then. She finished by throwing some note insults at me, and making it clear they wouldn't refund me for missing items.
I also can't claim the money back on PayPal as I waited it out, giving them the benefit of the doubt about the delay.
I'm so sad about this, but have to say I have heard similar things about them in the past, but you never want to believe it.
But taking money from a single mum such as myself, when those pjs were a special Xmas treat for my kids, is just horrid. They're not exactly cheap.
Just putting this warning out there for you all, if you buy from them and your items don't turn up, don't expect any customer service or even the hint of a refund.
