Make-up Novice - advice where to start

90% of the time I wear no makeup and only do for special occasions or big work events and then it is subtle foundation but love colour on eyeshadows if appropriate.
I'm now going to be turning 30 and realised I have little to no clue what I am doing with makeup and don't really have anything major in products.

I want to start upping my game slightly and wanted to really get a tutorial or at least someone knowledgable to help me buy all the basics (inc brushes/sponges etc) preferably in one go.

Does anyone know anywhere that does something like that or have any tips?
I would definitely need colour matching on foundation as normally only get a tinted moisturiser or similar.

I love Lisa Eldridge on YouTube. She's a qualified MUA who has had a phenomenal career, she is very knowledgable and passionate. Her Christmas gift guide could be a decent place to start as she recommends all sorts in there. But in all of her videos she talks about the products she uses and links everything in the description.
