Morning all, does anyone subscribe to Beauty Pie? If so, are the products any good? Any nuggets of info gratefully received. I've stumbled across it on IG and just checking it out. I might share it with my sister.

Thanks!

I think it's really good, I've liked everything I've had, the quality is excellent. There have been some useful threads about this before so it might be easier to search for those for recommendations.

girlonamission · 16/05/2021 09:36

Thanks, I'll have a further search.

I recently signed up and use the retinol serum and night cream - really impressed!

SicParvisMagna · 16/05/2021 22:45

Hi I've been a member since about this time last year. Used the bits quite laxly at first, but recently have got into a great routine and I love it all. Even got my husband and teen (and mum!) into their stuff now.
I've only tried the skincare, not the make up so can't comment on that.
Faves are the japanfusion range which is suitable for almost everyone, and the retinols. Also the vitamin c moisturiser. Those are my daily staples, with the odd extra treatment in like the glycolic peel, foot peels, clay masks etc. I'm 38, and have the best skin I've ever had in my life now! Wish I'd started this years ago.
I also take the daily vitamin d supplements and the probiotics and it's made me feel so much better inside too. If you get referred, you can get a months free membership, but you can start from as little as £5 and cancel whenever you want so definitely try it :)

@SicParvisMagna thanks for your reply, that's really helpful.

I have but I have unsubscribed - it’s really not that cheap and there are loads of good brands at that price point. Plus, the brand marketing is annoying.

almahart · 21/05/2021 07:06

I did but enjoyed it but it's not super cheap and I got bored. I don't think it's better quality than French pharmacy brands which are a similar price.

withlotsoflove · 21/05/2021 11:36

I just stopped my subscription after 2 years- ish.
It’s not all that when you have to pay for the subscription + shipping!
Most of what they have is available on the high street these days. They take ages to ship too!
They definitely have some nice bits - but so do most places in my experience!

justawoman · 21/05/2021 11:50

Hmmm... another brand that gets asked about suspiciously often on here

Rainydays200 · 21/05/2021 15:45

I joined for about 6 months last year but left because products were good but not amazing (apart from Japan fusion cleanser which I do miss) and got fed up with having to wait ages for my credit to build up and then finding things were out of stock. Annoying!

DarlingCoffee · 21/05/2021 16:01

I cancelled as the subscription was too expensive together with the shipping costs, and unless you go for a high subscription you can barely buy anything - also too many out of stocks.

HamAndCheeseToastie5032 · 21/05/2021 16:02

I don't know what the situation is nowadays but I cancelled fairly quickly as their stock control was a joke

CardiganBlobby · 21/05/2021 16:08

The beauty pie products i have tried across skin and haircare are excellent - the super healthy skin anti aging cream has done wonders for my skin and I am also a fan of the japanfusion range.

seensome · 21/05/2021 16:12

Skincare for face/body is good, the make up isn't that great, a bit annoying having the budget on what you can buy I don't want to spend more than 10 pounds on subscription with postage costs as well but some of the products are worth it.

TeaAndTrifle · 21/05/2021 16:31

I agree with what the others have said. Some really nice products but actually when you take into account shipping and the membership cost it's not brilliant value for money. Some of the prices have really fluctuated - ie something that was £9 last year now up to £17 and I don't believe it's all down to covid. It was initially marketed as 'tell all your friends as the more people that subscribe, the better our purchasing power will be and so prices will lower' but have yet to see that happen. For me their skincare is their strength and I bought as an alternative to my costly Elemis habit but actually I can get better deals on Elemis via QVC which works out cheaper than the BP equivalents.

My favourites are the superdose vit c moisturiser, Jeju cream (which I use as a night cream layered over other products), the sleep oil which has lasted ages. I like the pots of various superactive capsules too (vit c, ceramides).

I had a sample of their perfume but the smell didn't last very long.

My main issue is that I think their 'typical price' is vastly overpriced, and as that determines how much of your allowance you have to use pushes the price up. I've dropped my subscription to £5/month so I can stock up on the odd thing now and then.

Thatswhatmamasaid · 21/05/2021 21:58

I agree with justawoman Grin

MathsFiend · 22/05/2021 08:27

I’ve had a subscription for just over a year. Some of the stuff is nice, but it’s a bit trial and error. You also find yourself buying extra things, eg when they have new product launches, that you wouldn’t have ordinarily bought. So you can end up spending a lot as a result.

In terms of the quality of the products, like a PP said, I’d put them on a par with the French high street products like Nuxe. They claim to be high end, but I’m not convinced and there is no way to prove it. Put it this way, there isn’t anything similar to Creme de la Mer!
