What to wear in a cold May?!

Next week I have a day out in a city (southern half UK). Shopping, nice lunch, art gallery etc. I CANNOT WAIT. I was planning to wear long sleeved floral midi, trainers and denim jacket. I am now worrying that I will spend the day freezing my tits off.

What is everyone else wearing currently if they have any outside the house plans?!

Jeans. And a waterproof coat! If you're going to be mainly indoors you can probably do without the waterproof coat, take a brolly and a plastic bag to put it in.

For trips that dont walking walking outside much (not many atm!) skinnies, nice T and jumper over the top. Knee length puffs coat and trainers or boots.

When outside walking a lot my wellies (I have nice fitting ones) with the above!

Everywhere is wet and muddy here currently so wellies is usually the necessary option!

I think you are right, I was looking forward to being out of the jeans but I also don't want to waste the day feeling cold rather than enjoying it.

Whatever you do, Take a Rucksack with layers.

Wear what you were going to but with a coat over it. I've a very cool beautiful friend who had a special day out recently and her pictures of a long dress, trainers, denim jacket and a coat over the top looked amazing. Can't be a waisted coat though or an anorak type coat.
