I have had bacne for years and am fed up of it, I follow all the usual steps recommended but wondered if anyone had any actual experience of a good body wash for it?
Prompted by catching sight of it this morning and seeing it’s starting to spread onto my bottom 😭😭🤮🤮

Drs appointment.

What’s a body wash going to do for acne that’s this established?.

Noooooogsh · 16/05/2021 13:20

@Fluffycloudland77 I agree in principle and am going to go to the go again, but trying to get an appointment at my surgery is a whole other issue!

Last time the doctor just recommended the pill for body acne despite me saying I didn’t want to go on hormonal contraception 🙃

You can have topicals treatments or antibiotics but your going to spend money on something with limited benefits.

Or we a different gp because some aren’t very good.

The Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel range is great. They do a face wash which you could use but my best recommendation would be the back spray which you spray on after your shower. They also do a more concentrated serum which you could use on individual spots.

I promise I don't work for them but it has helped lots of people I know. Their cleanser has been out of stock for weeks and I'm desperate for it to come back! And it's not even expensive Smile

Anything with BHA in it

What’s BHA? I looked at the link and cerave is salicylic acid..

Go back to the dr. Explain the impact it's having on you and request a referral to a dermatologist.

I was fobbed off by gps for years and with hindsight I wish I'd been firmer about insisting on seeing a specialist.

For reallyreallyborednow...salicylic acid is BHA. Google it for more detail. It's the ingredient of choice for acne. Lookat Paula's choice products.
