I rewatched Buffy "once more with feeling" and now I have a problem

My problem is that I'm not 20 years old, I don't look anything like Sarah Michelle Gellar, and it's not 2001... And yet I now really want the coat she wears in this episode.

It's going to look like shit on me because I'm a 33 year old SAHM and not a 20 year old vampire slayer, but I want it anyway. My Google search has yielded no answers. Has anyone seen a faux leather version of this coat for sale?

PineappleCakes yeh that's right, knee length and belted. It's a matt black rather than shiny I think, although the scenes where she wears it are quite dark so hard to be sure. That coat is pretty close, thanks :)

NewYearNewTwatName (love your name), 'going through the motions' is amazing but I think my favourite is Spike singing 'rest in peace'. Mostly because I have a massive crush on James Marsters.

No idea on the coat, but you are totally right on the songs. Rest in Peace and Going Through the Motions are the best songs. I also like I'll Never Tell. I don't like Under Your Spell.

Aww memories! My mum bought me a real leather copy of that coat for my 16th birthday after I saw that episode the first time round!

I still have it in her loft but it’s a size 6 and I’m a 14

Look on ebay, there was a next one its not belted real leather longer than the knee, I have it , it must be 20 years ago I think I got it half price in the next sale, I did try to sell it on ebay for a tener, but now I'm glad it didn't sell, I wear it open as it's to small to button up, I love it.

Me too. Currently rewatching the whole of Buffy with the dc (now that they're finally old enough). We're a couple of episodes into Season 2, so Spike is about to turn up. The dc are already familiar with Once More With Feeling from hearing us play the album!

I always thought I’d dress like Willow and Tara in this episode when I grew up, but now I’m grown and feel like I would get some funny looks prancing around in a turquoise corset

Just had a watch of the clip and focused on the clothes for a change. Got reminded of how much my wardrobe aligned with Tara’s in that era. Maxi skirts, skinny tops, and chokers.
