For your first indoor proper family/family gathering?
I love knowing what people have worn whenever I've been anywhere. I love getting ideas 😃

Do pjs count? . My mum and dad are coming round for a big takeaway Chinese and I want to be comfortable!

I’ve ordered some super pretentious jeans in what might be a size too small as they sold out of my size. So those... hopefully and something appropriately low key, try hard and pretentious to go with them.

I'm going to a BBQ, so probably something pretty casual.

First event type outing is at the end of June and I'll wear a dress and sandals unless it rains.

@procrastatron that's what I've been looking at for the last couple of days I even asked on here for places to look for t-shirts 🤣 it must be a 40s thing!!

I have bought a patterned top....I never wear print so mum will definitely comment!

She's been wondering why I don't do print so maybe!

I’m in Scotland so we have inside dining as long as you don’t have alcohol. I met my friend last week in a leopard print midi dress and gold Nike trainers, with a leather biker jacket. It was really lovely to get a bit dressed up and go somewhere!

I don't really know. I have a knack of wearing badly mismatched things that run the look of something nice! I think it would probably be ok with white leather trainers but I don't have any.

Colour wise, it doesn't really look olive, agreed, Ostara but I like most greens so it's fine if it's brighter.

The La Redoute broderie dress reminds me of the outfits from my mum’s old 1970s issues of Family Circle magazine, when they were advising groovy mums on what to wear for special family occasions. That is a compliment, for the avoidance of doubt!

In two weeks time we are going to stay with family that I haven't seen since August and while we are there going to a friends birthday barbecue. I am so excited about the prospect of being able to get a little bit dressed up - I bought a beautiful silk Maxi dress from Sezane last summer and barely worn it so that's definitely getting an outing!

It's pure silk and I got it for a very good price in the archives last summer. I will wear with thin strap tan sandals.

I’ve just ordered some wide leg jeans, not sure if they are pretentious? I’m hoping for a modern take on jeans and nice top. Just hope they fit.

I have been trying to find some wide leg jeans that suit me. Problem is they all seem to be high waist which don't suit me, I need some mid rise ones. Jeans shopping for me requires a full on day at the shops trying on as it's so hard finding the right pair.
