Am I losing my hair *pic*

So I usually have my hair tied up in a high ponytail. When it's loose, it goes down to the small of my back. However, today I noticed this patch above my ear that I haven't seen before and isn't on the other side of my head. Am I losing my hair?

Your pony tail is probably quite heavy so it's maybe pulling some hair out with tension in that spot? I wear my hair up a lot and sometimes get hair pulling from behind my ears there.
