Jewellers recommendation for remodelling a ring

I am looking to have a ring remodelled with some turquoise stones taken out and diamonds or sapphires put in. Could anyone recommend a jeweller who could do this without being horrifically expensive?

Your nearest local non-branch jeweller is probably your best shout! They can talk to you about what quality diamonds you would like, which will influence the price.

I had a ring remodelled in NW England, but it obviously depends where you live.

I was getting charged a grand to just take my mums diamonds out of a knackered worn ring, claw setting in a plain band, and put in another basic ring setting the same only 9ct this time not 18ct so it would be stronger and last longer for her.

The gold probably cost about £100. So the rest was just his time and vat.

It’s astronomical.
