Red dots on legs

For as long as I can remember the pores on my legs have always been red. It's all the time but especially noticeable when I have shaved or used hair removal cream on my legs.
I am very pale and you can see the hairs under my skin.
Oh it also shows when I have had my legs waxed.
Anyone any ideas whether I can I do anything about this?

Bumping as my legs are exactly the same and all the posts I've searched seem to have so many conflicting opinions on what it is. I don't think it's Keratosis Pilaris as that's a keratin thing. It must be at least partially related to shaving as I don't have it on my upper thighs where I never shaved. But I can not shave my legs for 6 months and it is still visible, so obviously giving up shaving doesn't cure it!

My legs are also like this - more noticeable on the inside of the leg than the outside if you know what I mean.

Got chatting to one of my midwives a while ago and she said it was something referred to as strawberry legs. It doesn't bother me so haven't done research into it, but a quick google has given results on how to supposedly make it better.

It's keratosis pelaris - hereditary and a pain to get rid of. Exfoliating and moisturising helps (summer months when it's warmer and applying sun screen shows a real decrease for me).

I have this too, I don't think mine is KP as I have that on my upper arms and it goes away with the right moisturisers. Doesnt work on my legs, it's almost like the skin is so translucent you can see the root if the hair!

I considered ipl to zap them but it's expensive if it doesn't work.

The only thing I find useful is leg makeup, there's a Sally Hansen spray or a St Tropez one I like which gradually tans too.

I used to have what looked like this. My leg hair was very coarse and after quite a few IPL sessions the hair was much softer ( non existent in some places) and now I don't get it when I shave. Also can't see the hair beneath skin either.
If it's not that and it's KP as another poster suggested, my daughter found cerave products with urea very useful on the KP on her upper arms

Being hereditary makes sense actually as my Mum had it and she never shaved her legs. DS2 has KP on his upper arms and a little on his face, from where he used to have eczema.
I assumed KP was always bumpy and dry, which my legs aren't particularly, but reading about it, it does sound like that. Will try exfoliating moisturiser. I used Korean Italy towels on my upper arms and they definitely helped, but I lost them. I do have a dry brush, I should use that too. Also, sunshine would be good. I'm pale and burn easily and don't like the heat, so I tend to hide in the shade when the sun is out!

So... I'm opposite of you! It only appears on my upper thigh also where I very seldom (if ever) have to shave!

This is supposed to be amazing for KP-I've not used it but couple of friends swear by it.

I have quite sensitive skin that can do this when I shave if I haven't exfoliated. I exfoliate every time I shower - I just use a foaming soap and a natural mitten. I also shave every time I shower, which possibly helps as my legs stay used to it.

I used this. It’s a nice moisturiser and made the skin on my legs feel lovely, but it didn’t get rid of the KP. It reduced it a bit but not loads - they say you’re meant to start off by using it twice a day, every day for 30 days - which a lot of people don’t seem to realise!
