Hair extensions or let hair grow

Hi any advice either way. Ultimate goal is long strong healthy hair

In lockdown 2 I decided to bleach my own hair...it actually worked out ok bit as my hair is naturally almost black I had roots within 2 weeks that looked awful and parts of my hair were very damaged

When I was able to...I went to the hairdressers dyed back to dark brown and chopped off the damaged parts which left me with chin length hair
Its grown to around the nape of my neck now

Is it worth investing in some really good extensions? If yes what type dont damage your hair? Rings?
Are they likely to damage my hair further?

My hair does grow well so alternatively should i stick it out...nourish and strengthen my hair instead?

Just dont feel like myself!! Thank you!

I could have written this post except for dyeing back to brown! I'm naturally a medium/dark blonde with red tones and I had mine bleached last year and then used a couple of bottle dyes on myself during lockdown. My hair is a bit fucked, so I got DH to cut it had it cut to about chin length when left natural. A bit longer when straightened. I'm having mine treated to get it very straight and am then going to talk to someone about extensions. If she thinks my hair can handle it, I'll go for it.

Mine is fine, so I'd also like some extra volume, which I won't achieve by just growing it, so I have that added incentive.

@LuckyMcDucky what have we done to ourselves (haha) i blame boredome!

My hair is usually extremely thick...but right now its thin and broken Sad

Maybe a consultation would be worthwhile as they can tell me if its worth it

I know Flossie Grin. Lockdown did some strange things to me in terms of my style and beauty choices Blush

Oh well. Hair grows etc etc.

Extensions are fine just don’t have the bonded keratin ones or a weave, I’ve always found tapes have been the least damaging.

Also you might want to grow it slightly longer so that it blends better when you do get them.

Thanks @Foxglovesandlilacs i will look into tapes!
