thick cotton t shirts

Has anybody managed to find nice thick t shirts. I find so many are viscose now and don't hang right and are too thin. Also looking for hip length or longer.

Have you looked at GAP?

upsydaisyssinging · 10/05/2021 16:20

I also want to know this

ambereeree · 10/05/2021 16:46

@ThatIsMyPotato even the gap ones are thin and flimsy looking.

Hmm it has been a few years. I've given up on H&M as everything is see-through.

GoodVibesHere · 10/05/2021 17:13

Because of this problem I've recently been purchasing from sustainable clothing websites, as they produce organic cotton usually good quality, and thicker. It is more expensive but I'm hoping they last longer. E.g.

Rapanui
Thought clothing
Baukjen
People Tree

Primark sustainable range - £5 a pop. Very good quality.

Uniqlo has good t-shirts

dameofdilemma · 10/05/2021 17:18

Was just about to suggest Uniqlo, saw another poster has got there before me.

I also saw some thick cotton ones at &other stories. (Not the teeny tiny shrunken ones they have there that look fit for a 5 year old).

Frequentflier · 10/05/2021 17:45

I have just got this 3 pack of Rapanui tshirts, and am quite pleased with them. Thicker and longer than most, 100% cotton and not flimsy at all. Nice colours too. rapanuiclothing.com/product/women-s-organic-crew-neck-t-shirt-3-pack/

barbrahunter · 10/05/2021 17:47

I got some nice ones from Hush but they were expensive for what they were.

Ohsugarhoneyicetea · 10/05/2021 18:03

M&S are thick and soft, Thought ones are nice too but about £27 each.

ThatIsMyPotato · 10/05/2021 18:12

I have got some decent ones from Next but they aren't really thick

Lookdeepintotheparka · 10/05/2021 19:23

Just bought a couple of lovely thick, quality cotton t shirts from Superdry. Not too overly branded and they had some really nice colours!

Agree Rapanui is good too - recently bought a bundle of their T shirts which are thinner cotton than the Superdry ones but have washed well and will be perfect for summer!

ErrolTheDragon · 10/05/2021 19:35

Lands end Pima Ts and vest tops are pretty good.

SOLINVICTUS · 10/05/2021 20:14

M&S, the more expensive ones - possibly called Collection or something. Pure thick cotton, keep their simple shape beautifully. I bought some from Uniqlo a couple of years ago but despite being supima cotton they had a weird sheen that almost made them look like men's vests.

ambereeree · 11/05/2021 12:52

Thanks all. I'm going to check out all those brands. Just wish I could actually go to the shops and have a look and feel of the t shirts. I'm getting fedup with online shopping

@ThatIsMyPotato even the h&m girls clothes is terrible quality. My 5 year old gets a few wears of a top before holes appear.

Lands end is pretty good for easy returns, I've found.

goose1964 · 11/05/2021 13:26

Fruit of the loom less fashion more t-shirts, you can get them from under a fiver on Amazon

savvy7 · 11/05/2021 14:26

Yes to Rapanui, lovely soft t-shirts, wash well
