Long-lasting foundation

TLDR: need to find a long-lasting foundation that doesn’t come off on a mask and doesn’t oxidise. I’m pale with pink undertones.

As the title. I used to always use MAC; either nourishing waterproof, studio sculpt or studio fix. I was shade NW20 in the waterproof, NW15 in the other. I switched to Kiko for a while as my MAC store didn’t have my shade. I then started using Revolution but I can see now I look like a ghost!

Anyway, didn’t find the Kiko or Revolution lasted all day, but I didn’t mind too much for the price. It started to piss me off though, so I went back to MAC. Not sure if it’s them or me, or having to wear a mask all day but now, none of my old favourites seem to last, a lot comes off on my mask and the Studio Fix oxidises terribly. I use a primer/powder to set and a setting spray but by the time I’m home, it looks like I didn’t put any make up on 😢.

I have used EL DW in the past but didn’t like the mask like feeling and look. I’ve tried Bobbi Brown (didn’t last), Lancôme (same), Laura Mercier (used to love but think they changed the formula.

My skin is combo/normal, not oily at all so I don’t think it’s that. Any recommendations?

I don't often wear it but I found the Clinque Even Better foundation would take some shifting at the end of the day even when I went for a run/jog/trot

I used to wear Mac studio fix in NW15 and get what you are saying. I switched to Mac face and body for a bit but it did transfer. Now I use the hourglass one that comes in a stick (porcelain) and set it with Dim Light powder and I think it gives me a lovely glow without that tanned floating head thing going on. It does transfer a bit but I think most will. It’s all quite pricey but they might do returns.
You might find EL double wear gives you the durability but I still recommend Dim Light powder for getting rid of the ghostly look.

I haven’t tried it but the Dior foundation states it’s mask proof.

Estée Lauder double wear?

I've tried various MAC foundations (NC20) but prefer L'Oréal True Match. I don't find it really comes off in my mask either. I have pinker undertones as well, but find the neutral shades (N1 and N2) work best for me depending on the time of year and if I'm wearing tanner. I'll also mix one pump of each to get a good shade if I'm in between tans lol

What about double wear light, the staying power of DW but a much lighter coverage, ask for a sample in store before you commit though

I mix my Estée Lauder DW with Advanced Night Repair and Iconic Illuminator to thin it and make it more glowy, it still lasts all day too and doesn't transfer.

I use EL Double Wear Light and would definitely recommend.

Me too. Not to heavy and really lasts.
