Soolantra - did you experience a dermodex die off?

Had a facial skin rash 2.5 years... Been told all sorts by the Dr's (both GP and dermatologist) but recently I also started getting spots.

I went to the Dr's who said it was all rosecea and prescribed soolantra.

Lots of stuff online says this can get worse before it gets better due to dermodex die off so I was anticipating this. However I noticed a slight improvement straight off so was really hoping that it would help.

Now (day 5) I've woken up with sore skin and a few new swollen patches. Is this dermodex die off? Did you have this?

I feel so down... I did have my AZ vaccine yesterday so could be related? I'm also due on my period around now but I've never thought that's made a difference in the past.

I’ve used Soolantra for rosacea. It several weeks for things to get under control. Just stick with it. I can’t really remember if it got worse before it got better but it did ultimately work!

Thanks Queen... Glad you found it helped, some of the results posted online look great so I'm really hoping that it works!!

See my post from a few years ago. It’s bloody miraculous stuff and yes I got die off with swollen glands.

Yes, definite die off yuck I was here. I am on week 7 of soolantra and my skin texture is much better! Far fewer spots on my chin/ jaw/ cheeks. I currently have a massive spot but just one- not lots of irritated little pustules. I’ll see if I can adapt a photo to show the difference over time.

My rosacea got really bad a few years ago and Soolantra really cleared it up. I still get rosy cheeks easily but I haven't had a flair up on my skin in three years now and I haven't had to use the cream since. I wanted to share to encourage you Smile

JMAngel1 · 09/05/2021 18:53

I still use it 3 x week - too scared to stop completelyvGrin

Thanks liquoricecravings... How long before you saw results? Did it get worse before it got better? My spots don't look too bad but skin more dry and itchy. Only day 6 so don't know if that's to be expected
