Coatigan for spring/summer

Looking for a longline non-frumpy long cardigan/coatigan that I can wear in spring/summer over knee high dresses, just to have an extra layer on that won't make me to hot, but also to look a bit more put together at work. Also, some of my dresses are a little floaty and go up in the wind, so a coatigan would add a little weight, ideally without making me too warm. I am short, so it doesn't need to be super long. I'd like a dark neutral colour, so probably looking for black or navy. Grey will make me look wide across the shoulders. Looking for decent quality, budget around £70.

That's not bad Lizzie thank you, esp as it's 50% cotton. However, I don't buy from Benetton because their return process is painful and expensive.

This might be too kimono shaped for what you're looking for but I've bought this as a cover up for summer. It's massive though - I'm a size 10 and bought the smallest size and it's still a bit roomy. I'm 5'4" and it looks a lot longer on me than it does on the model.

That one is spot on TimeforaGandT, unfortunately they only have size 6 left. I am a size 10, sometimes I can get away with 8, but not 6.

Those are very nice Livingoffroyalities esp the first one, the second looks a little like a house robe. I am only 5.1" so my worry is that they'll look too long on me. But def a possibility... Thank you

I've just bought this one from Cos and it's lovely. Cotton, so not itchy. I'm really pleased with it I think it will go nicely with jeans as well as summer dresses and shorts.

Bananas - things sometimes come back into stock or they get a return so worth keeping an eye on it or giving them a call to see if it will be re-stocked

I actually prefer the one with the tie, but would tie it loosely behind me to give the garment some shape rather than around me. (The way some women have the belt on a trench coat.)

Have you thought about a duster coat?

Ah, sorry. I think when I bought it, it was also available in navy but maybe it's sold out now.

What about these cardigans? I've got them and the matching knitted loungewear and they're so soft, great length plus pockets. At £24 each you could buy the black , navy and khaki for your £70 budget!
