Eco skin care - recommendations?

I’m out of everything and trying to be more eco. I know there’s things like coconut oil that you can use but are there any products by eco brands that you’d really recommend?

I’ve been looking at upcircle, body shop and lush so far. Also interested in eco makeup recommendations. I’ve tried some Zao and I like it but the foundation isn’t a great match for my very pale skin and the mascara is lovely but smudges easily.

www.drhauschka.co.uk/about-us/
I use Dr Hauschka rose day cream - my skin is very sensitive and it is one of the few things I can use.
It is very pure and very very gentle
Dr Hauschka is ethical, organic and biodynamic - I think dating back to the 1960s
They are not tested on animals and are sustainable

Neals Yard is also excellent with with very high ethical standards and pure ingredients

Thank you! I’ll check them out. I love rose scented things.

Any other recommendations?

I really like Pamoja eco-friendly skin care.

I like Faith in Nature for shampoo, conditioner and soap. You can get refills in some places and also send back empties for recycling.

Ooh - haven’t heard of Pamoja. Will give them a look.

I’d forgotten about Faith in Nature and need some new hair stuff too. Thanks!

Body shop have some lovely rose scented products. And it’s good value which is important to me alongside the ethical elements.

The Pamoja cleansing balm is brilliant.

Don't use coconut oil, it's comedogenic and won't do your skin any favours at all.

Ren. Fabulous, vegan and eco friendly

Weleda is a more budget friendly alternative to dr hauschka. I also use Herbfarmacy skincare, which is really nice. Check out lovelula, they do a beauty box subscription which is great for discovering new eco friendly brands. I would question eco credentials of body shop tbh.
