I'm 48, have always had a good skin care routine, I think my face is in pretty reasonable shape considering the battering it's fit over the years, but practically overnight I've suddenly developed my Mums crinkly neck! Honestly it wasn't there yesterday I'm sure Grin it's the bit at the bottom of my throat, kind of where my collar bones meet.

I take it back, I've just looked in the mirror again and it looks like my Nan's neck Confused

Any wonder creams/serums/witch craft I can try?

I would like to know this too. I am 47 and I swear this happened last week! I am currently using tretinoin and a foreo bear which have left the skin on my face amazing! But you can’t use either of these on your neck so I am at a loss because my neck looks 20 years older than my face.

I read something a few years ago, on one of the skincare threads in the S&B board. Apparently a dermatologist had said at a seminar or something, that you should treat your neck as part of your face. You don't treat your face as a rose & neglect the stalk. So you should do the same skincare routine all the way down, ideally.

Caroline Hirons said, more succinctly but also more crudely, take it to the tits. I don't necessarily agree with a lot of things she says but she's right about that.

Are you a side sleeper, or do you regularly have a tan on that part of your chest/neck?

harknesswitch · 07/05/2021 22:11

@AnExcellentWalker yes I am a side sleeper, but it's not my chest, that still looks ok, it's really just at the bottom of my neck. I swear it wasn't there yesterday Confused

Probably a combination of things. Do you wear sunscreen? Have you recently lost weight?

Journeynotdestination · 07/05/2021 23:28

Prai is amazing. Totally changed how my neck looks. Reviews for it are good. I use the night one, I have the day one but find it pills a bit.

Tech neck, possibly? It can be averted if the habit is caught early.

harknesswitch · 08/05/2021 09:38

I've just ordered some Prai so I'll let you know how I get on.

I really, really rate the Dermalogica Neck Serum. It feels lovely to apply, and the skin feels smoother & looks firmer (been using since Feb).
