Does anyone rate No7 skincare? My friend has been telling me today how much she loves their eye cream & face serum.

I really like their products. Definitely recommend.

Ponks · 06/05/2021 23:26

I love the Protect and Perfect range, and the radiant results cleansing balm is brilliant.

DramaAlpaca · 06/05/2021 23:27

Yes

I think it depends on your skin type. I've tried a few of their skincare and make up range and I don't like them. I think they are overpriced for the quality too.

Baconking · 07/05/2021 07:17

I fragrance is too strong for me. I had to stop using it quite soon after starting as it made me sneeze (a lot!)

Sexnotgender · 07/05/2021 07:18

Love the protect and perfect serum and eye cream.

EvelynBeatrice · 07/05/2021 07:49

I love the No7 Protect and Perfect Intense BB spf50 facial sun protection in fair. I bulk buy it and it gives a lovely low key golden glow as a base layer sun protector under foundation or on its own at the weekend.

Luckingfovely · 07/05/2021 08:32

Whilst it's good quality, it's insanely overpriced and completely out of step with the rest of the skincare market now, I struggle to find a reason for choosing it over anything.

There are so many equal or better ranges that are priced sensibly now - you would be much better off spending a bit of time on research, figuring out what active ingredients your skin needs, and then buying specific targeted products that are right for you.

(I'd recommend this approach for everyone btw, the market has changed now to allow you to personalise a skin routine that's exactly what you need, rather than spending a fortune on generic creams which are marked up by 100s of percent to pay for the merchandising and marketing.)

Good places to start are The Ordinary, The Inkey List, Beauty Pie, Balance Active (on Amazon).

I've been using the little orange Vit C capsules at night and can really see a difference. And the retinol is also pretty good.

SemiColonoscopy · 07/05/2021 08:35

Also, on the pricing note, i stacked up the last lot of No7 offers online and ended up paying barely half price for the Active Ingredients capsules and the Hydraluminous foundation I seem to buy on repeat now.

Sexnotgender · 07/05/2021 09:22

Yeah never pay full price for it! I stock up when it’s on offer. I think at Christmas it was 50% off plus £10 off a £40 spend or something similar. I then used my points to pay for it. I never just buy it ad hoc.

Where do you use it? What differences do you see? I have deep 'smokers' wrinkles around my mouth (have never smoked). I've been using the serum that comes in the 'syringe' and it's given me spots.
ILoveShula · 07/05/2021 09:56

I really like it. If you buy a gift set or offer it works out reasonably priced.

I like the No 7 makeup and the other Boots skincare too. Got a gorgeous Glow gift set for £6 the other week on their Clearance shelf. Not started it yet but it looks fab.

goose1964 · 07/05/2021 12:37

I'm loving their advanced night cream. I have a couple of very dry patches, chin and hairline and this is helping them feel less dry.

Coniferhedge · 07/05/2021 16:45

I like No7 skincare. I use Lift and Luminate, have done for a couple of years and I could see a difference after a few weeks - my pores are definitely smaller and less visible. Like PP have said - buy when it’s on offer, and it nearly always is, whether 3 for 2 or certain products for half price. An added bonus is collecting Advantage Points. I usually save mine up throughout the year and so I was able to get myself the No 7 Advent Calendar for Christmas and a small Miss Dior perfume in the January sale.

MrsDThomas · 08/05/2021 17:30

I used it for a few years and it was ok. Then went for Loreal and back to Boots but it stung like heck, so ive stopped. Its very fragrant.

Tinks15 · 08/05/2021 17:44

Thanks everyone, does anyone else recommend other brands around the same sort of price?

I agree. They're BB cream is recommended a lot on here as an alternative to foundation but I hated it! Just slid on an stayed sat as a layer over my face
MrsDThomas · 08/05/2021 17:54

I love Loreal Revitalift. Good offers in Boots and Superdrug. I feel it sinks in better esp when i put foundation on.
