What does 32" leg mean?

I assumed it meant "the leg length of these trousers is 32 inches" but it seems I am wrong.

Isn't from the inside leg?

Astronaut8 · 06/05/2021 18:36

😲 what does it mean!?

JaneJeffer · 06/05/2021 18:37

It's inside leg not overall length.

SoupDragon · 06/05/2021 18:43

Well, the inside leg of the 32" jeans I bought today is 29"

Which explains why they are far too short!

not the most intuitive if they have used 32" in the descriptor, but as ankle grazers are super stylish right now could it be that if they were designed to be full length they would be 32", but as they are designed to be ankle grazing they are shorter than that?

SoupDragon · 06/05/2021 19:00

Who knows. They weren't marketed as "ankle grazers" though.

It's bloody annoying though! Especially as I bought 2 different colours.

I always take it to be inside leg, because I'm 5ft 10 and a 32 inside leg.
I'd be well pissed off if I bought 32 legs and it turned out to be "32 if they were full length but they're not"

JaneJeffer · 06/05/2021 19:05

Very annoying @SoupDragon. I usually have the opposite problem that everything is too long.

SoupDragon · 06/05/2021 19:08

They were only cheap from Primark so not a huge waste. I've not had this problem from them before though.
