Lash lift or lash extensions?

I have long and lots of natural lashes but they are completely straight. I have had lash extensions in the past and IMO they took years off me but I didn't really like them and they felt a bit OTT. I got loads of compliments, but they are a bit high maintenance for me. I also do a lot of hardcore workouts so not sure if the lashes would stay on!

Anyone had both? Which do you prefer?

I used to get loads of compliments on my eyes but as I age I think they have dulled a lot. Would love to lift this area a bit.

Just get a lash lift. Your lashes sound ideal for it and it's much less of a faff than extensions.

I had a lash lift yesterday for first time - I’m so pleased with the results

I have long, thick but very straight lashes and I have a lash lift. It's such a time saver and it means that I can look decent without make up on too. Go for it.

Had my first lash lift this week and had so many compliments that I booked in for the next one.

I’m on it!

Is it painful? I’ve watched YouTube and it looks a bit irritating to the eyes.

Loved my lash lift last year. Must book another one

Lash lift is easier than extensions. Lash lift isn’t painful but I find it uncomfortable, I could never tolerate an extension treatment though so if you’ve had that you should be fine.

I've had both.

Extensions can easily look false if too long, too many etc. I always found that they looked great, but felt my own lashes suffered and always looked damaged if I ever stopped getting them topped up and let them grow out.

I've had a lash lift twice- with a tint at the same time. I too have fairly long lashes. I'm fairly tolerate of keeping still for procedures, but both times, my eyes kept watering and she'd often have to stop. I'm not sure if it was her technique or me, but it was worth it.
I went mascara free for weeks and people thought I was wearing falsies! They opened up my eyes and really looked great. After maybe a month, they didn't have the same effect, but I don't think they were as damaged looking as with real false lashes.

Thanks, everyone. I'll book it.

I am determined to give myself a massive makeover.

Hi can I jump on and ask about eyelash tinting, is it worth it? I'm sort of over wearing makeup but I'm still like having my eyes on! Would a tint mean I don't have to wear mascara ?

I've had both - found lash lift no more impressive than just curling my own lashes each morning as it dropped out within 4 weeks. Extensions if you keep them minimal have more impact IMO but worse for condition.
