What is you skin tone? I wear No7 Hydralum in warm ivory or Bourjois 123 CC cream in ivory. I read Dandelion doesn't show up on all skin tones, I'd say mine is probably medium.

I have medium tan skin and dandelion doesn't work for me

21Flora · 05/05/2021 22:03

I’ve worn it before and I’m very pale, NC15 in Max or Mont Blanc in Nars!

MorganSeventh · 05/05/2021 22:07

I'm also colour matched as no7 warm ivory and dandelion shows up fine on me, I don't use it very often but that's because I prefer cream blusher.

Orangesox · 05/05/2021 22:09

I love Dandelion, but I am PALE, Mac NC10 pale Grin

It doesn’t work on my mother who is more medium / olive in complexion.

sweetkitty · 05/05/2021 22:25

I use both No7 Warm Ivory and Dandelion Otho ugh I’ve run out just now

MiddleParking · 05/05/2021 22:33

Oh, thanks OP, that makes sense - didn’t know this was a thing! It’s not visible on me - on the paler side of medium.

WellTidy · 05/05/2021 22:46

I am pale and I love it. I also love Coralista. Both quite light blushers but that suits me.

Twilightstarbright · 06/05/2021 06:42

Another pale cool toned person who loves it as a blusher.

CovidCorvid · 06/05/2021 06:47

Im pale, think I’m ivory in no7. I wear dandelion but not as a blusher. I wear it all over my face to give a slight hint of warmth/colour.

ThankYouDebbie · 06/05/2021 07:09

I wear it sometimes, I'm pale/freckly.

AmbientLighting · 06/05/2021 07:20

I think dandelion does market itself as an all over face powder.

In a set I have it suggests putting a bit of dandelion with a bit of hoola all over the face.

JinglingHellsBells · 06/05/2021 07:27

I am very pale- used Boots Calico which is the palest shade and it was too dark!- and tried Dandelion and it was too pale for me.

The best blusher I've found for my skin is Nars Sex Appeal which is similar to Dandelion- a peachy pink, but with more pigment.

QueenPaw · 06/05/2021 11:12

Blue Grin cool toned v pale skin

Anotheruser02 · 06/05/2021 12:47

Ah thank you, I might just need to wait until I can try things on. I don't suppose anyone can recommend something to compliment a medium tone? Thanks so much.

I don't really understand finishing powders/ blushers/ highlighters it confuses me. My 40 year old skin doesn't really look great with powder all over any more I think I'd like to look more glowey or brighter or something but without sparkle, maybe just applied to cheek and brow bone.

lubeybooby · 06/05/2021 12:52

I'm quite pale with cool undertones. If a foundation range goes from 1 lightest to 30 darkest, I'm usually a 2 or 3

AmbientLighting · 06/05/2021 13:01

Are you warm or cool toned or neutral?

What sort of colours do you like?

There aren't many suit all blushers

ThankYouDebbie · 06/05/2021 13:04

Can you get into a Benefit counter somewhere? You could ask for a recommendation, I love nearly all of the products I've ever had from them.

MorganSeventh · 06/05/2021 15:23

Yes, I stopped using powder in my 40s. Clinique chubby stick in amp'd up apple is my preferred cream blusher, it's warm/neutral and very forgiving.

belljar89 · 06/05/2021 15:31

I am mac NW20 - and as much as I wanted to love Dandelion I do not- I cannot see it at all.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Charlotte Tilbury.

AmbientLighting · 06/05/2021 15:55

I really like Benefit Dallas. I have a medium / golden skin tone. I fine it really natural looking and flattering.

If you like Benefit, their blusher palettes are really good value.

Thinnerlikeachickendinner · 06/05/2021 21:32

I would try the small travel size of hourglass dim light op and swirl it like a generous bronzer. (I am hydra luminous in warm ivory)

ElderMillennial · 07/05/2021 07:37

The Hourglass powders and blushers are lovely.

It has reminded me of the Laura Geller blushers too for some reason which are nice as well.

Isn't that for all over?

I'm pale - if I use Dandelion all over I look like I've been Tangoed Grin

I use it very sparingly as a blusher - it's too bright for me
