Is this too dark for an August wedding (in NW)?

Haven’t seen the colour yet - the silk top is described as “raspberry” in colour although it doesn’t look like that to me in the photo?

How would you accessorise it? Was thinking rose gold sandals and jewellery?

Would you need a jacket? If it was a really hot day would I look odd and uncomfortable? Should you only wear pale / bright colours to a summer wedding?

I think the colour is fine for summer. The
Only thing that I might be concerned about is if it’s a really hot day you could be too hot. On the other hand, it could be rainy and chilly! Summer weddings in uk are so hard to dress for

Colour is fine!
Rose gold or another metallic would be fine, as would very pale blue or lilac.

SecretSpAD · 05/05/2021 22:20

It's absolutely gorgeous! Go,for it!

steppemum · 05/05/2021 22:22

I think it islovely and perfect colours for a summer wedding. My only concern is the longish sleeves in case you are too hot.

I wouldn't add jacket personally for a summer wedding

dudsville · 05/05/2021 22:23

That's very pretty!

WinterStrange · 05/05/2021 22:26

I'd wear that to a wedding. But I wear black all summer, so what to I know?

KinseyWinsey · 05/05/2021 22:29

Gorgeous but you might boil

WinterStrange · 05/05/2021 22:33

Looking at the details, it has a good percentage of polyester in there with the silk. So that might make it a little sweatier than a pure silk dress I think.

Is it all lined with polyester?

Sssloou · 05/05/2021 23:03

The top part is all silk so that’s a start - the skirt is crepe - with a polyester lining - so it might be hot.....maybe I will get it and have an alternative if it’s a v hot day as I would wear this again.

Will sandals work to lighten it up? Or would it look better with a kitten heel mule?

I really that!

WinterStrange · 06/05/2021 08:37

It might not be super hot in NW anyway? It certainly looks beautiful to me and totally wedding appropriate. (Again, disclaimer: I wear black most days all year. Sometimes I dare to wear grey, navy or beige Grin).

That looks very smart and I love the colour.
I'm currently looking at M of the G outfits, also for August in NW England and one of my favourites so far is a deep burgandy Bombshell dress which I would accessorise with pale grey if I go for it.
