Help!!! Hair disaster!!!!

Hello
I've just had by hair done by a mobile hairdresser for the first. I normally have half head subtle highlights and then top up with a t- section. It's come out streaky blond and I'm panicking!! I'm quite a quiet person and there's no mistaking the change in my hair now and I really can't face all the comments I'll get in work tomorrow. Can anyone recommend a semi-permanent hair dye I can get to tone it down a bit? To be fair on the hairdresser, I think she was shocked at how well it took to my hair and did her best to try and take the edge off it but I think it was too late by that point. I'm not cross with her about it- just want it to be more subtle ☹️

Honestly, as someone who doesn't get her hair highlighted, it's the roots that stand out. They look like you've had highlights in the past and they've started to grow out. I agree that she should redo those. The colour is ok though.

It looks fine. It’ll look better after you’ve had it done a couple of times.

But what does your hair look like styled down vs scraped back like that? Presumably your hair is styled in a centre or side part vs combed back

Is supposed to be styled *

Are you the poster who leaves olaplex on for a week? Wash, dry and style it and then we can see properly!

It needs a toner

Nice!

I would call her and see if she can put a darker toner on it. It wont last but would blend it in better. Dont put anything on yourself.

Don't put a semi colour in - it'll likely go green!

I've just had mine done and it's nothing like yours.

I'd be disappointed also.

I think there a few issues:

  • the highlights haven't been applied in fine enough sections so it looks "stripy"
  • they haven't been applied near enough to your scalp (and also unevenly applied at the root) so you've got a very visible "start line) that's actually also "wonky"
  • it looks like they've only used one colour (mine had 3) so there's a big contract between your natural hair and the thick bleached sections.

Honestly what to do?

I'd book an appointment with a reputable salon and see what they can do with it.

I think they could help a lot by toning in other colours and getting it nearer your scalp.

I'm not sure there's anything you can do to fix it if I'm honest Sad
