Temporary hair colour

I have grey hair, some white areas and some darker. I'm happy with the grey, use purple hair care etc.
I'd love to use some temporary shades, literally wash out with one shampooing. Does this exist?

Superdrug do a shampoo and conditioner that adds a wash in wash out colour. The ones I tried were good. I tried a brown one and a blonde one and blonde looked better on me. It didn't cover the grey but made it less noticeable.

Thanks @KirstenBlest I’ll have a look, not trying to cover the grey, just maybe make it a bit more interesting!

these ones

You can get similar ones in Boots, Savers and Wilko.

There's someone on here who does a home made turmeric tint. I'll look for it.

Here it is:

I make my own hair dyeing tea which covers the many whites hairs I have since my hair grew back after chemo a steely grey. The tea turns the white hair blonde.

I use:

Very small pinch (half a finger nail size scooped using the handle of a flat handled tsp) of turmeric.
Half a tsp instant coffee
6 camomile teabags
6 redbush teabags

All brewed up in a teapot and left to cool with the bags in. I pour in over clean dry hair, comb through, leave in and dry.

If you wanted darker streaks you could use more coffee and black tea. I recommend a strand test first to see if you like the colour it turns your hair.

Depends what effect you want. I have hair that is pretty much white at the very front, darkening towards the back (with some left over brown hair dye from pre first lockdown .......) So I use Bleach London Pearlescent shampoo and conditioner - it looks like purple shampoo but seems to give everything a slight tinge which I keep getting compliments on. They also do it in various other colours

@KirstenBlest thanks for the links, just worried that they'll take more than one wash to get out, really is only a temporary tint I'd like as it took so long to be fully grey and I'd hate to have to grow it out again!
@SigrunGard that's maybe more what I'm aiming for..just a tinge

My hair is quite brittle and porous but they wash out ok. Nobody commented. My hair looked shinier and subtly blonder.

I read the first review and it seems to be for a different product. I think the instructions are to leave it in for 3 minutes.

I've been playing about with Revolution Hair Tones.

Half a bottle gives some really bold colours. I find it washes out in 3 or 4 washes rather than one, but if you're wanting bright colours they do the job.

Trust me, my hair is very slow growing and I would not want to have to grow out any colour as my hair is long. It would take years.

The semi-permanent colours aren't too bad, but they affect the condition so am avoiding those at the moment.
