Evening wedding guest - help!

CornishGem1975 · 05/05/2021 17:19

I am going to an evening wedding reception (all things being well) and it's been so long since I've bought any new clothes or dressed up, I have no idea what to wear.

It's a complicated situation and there will be people there that I definitely want to look my best in front of and feel confident. I've lost a bit of weight recently but I'm not confident about my body at all, so nothing too figure-hugging.

I feel like everything I own or wear is a bit frumpy so I'd like to change that but don't have a massive budget, maybe £60-80 tops? Any suggestions?

What sort of shape, height, colouring etc are you OP?

CornishGem1975 · 05/05/2021 18:54

I'm about a Size 12 now, petite so things like maxi dresses or skirts etc are a no-no really as they swamp me. I have dark hair, I'm quite pale though, I don't do tans!

Oh and I'm quite booby so nothing too revealing in that area or I look like a busty barmaid. I need to wear a bra.

I like the jumpsuit idea!

Or maybe a playsuit?

This is nice, but a smidgen over budget. Would be easy to wear to other things though.

www.marksandspencer.com/floral-tie-front-midaxi-shirt-dress/p/clp60495793?color=GREENMIX it's available in short, you could wear it with the first few buttons undone and a white choker.
