Summer alternative to Spanx

I need something to pull me in and eliminate chub rub that is not as brutal / hot/ sweaty as Spanx. Size 18 (down from 20 yay!!). Any ideas please?

I’d prefer not to wear tights as have gorgeous Jimmy Choo sandals.

Snag Chubb rub shorts?
I haven’t got them but the reviews say they are comfy & breathable.

I wear cotton cycling shorts under my summer dresses. Could that be an option for you, OP?

Let us know how you get on with them, OP, I haven't tried the Snag ones. I think it would be difficult to find a breathable alternative to Spanx that will hold you in as well. The shorts I wear are 95% cotton, so they feel cool to wear, but they don't hold me in. If you are wearing floaty summer dresses then it's possible you may not need the supportive element of Spanx.

I ordered the Snag chub rub shorts some weeks ago but they have not materialised - apparently on back order and 2-3 weeks away. In the meantime I have acquired to pairs of anti chaff shorts from www.thebigtightscompany.co.uk and I knew from the second I opened the packet they would be perfect. Lightweight, cool and comfortable and one pair has some light support. I'm a very happy customer.

Just seem on the packet www.thebigtightscompany.co.uk and www.thebigbloomercompany.co.uk are the same thing. Excellent recommendation, thank you.
