Last week Lookeiro disaster. This week I await stitch fix

You may remember me from beige / white jumble sale / per Una '93 / charity shop bargain bin outfits sent by Lookeiro. I forgot to cancel the Stitch fix I had planned before Lookeiro. Would we be interested in those clothes when they arrive?
Again I must stress my reason for buying one is to try and find some nice pieces I wouldn't choose myself and get a few new summer items.

@Honeywort

The denim jacket is nice but I’d have thought that was sort of thing that - if it’s your style - you’d already have. I th8nk of a denim jacket as a fairly basic/classic item . For this sort of service to be useful to me, I’d need it to be suggesting things 8 wouldn’t have thought of.
You can choose not to receive coats etc. Personally I would exclude this too.
Brogues · 08/05/2021 15:22

I like outfit 2. The dress is alright but the pink top is a bit meh.

polkadotpjs · 08/05/2021 15:40

If you're ready here are the rest. If I'm allowed 3 more. The play suit was just awful but it got me thinking of trying a different style of play suit.
Cropped trousers were beautiful quality (Brakeburn?) and nice button detail but I think the jumper although nice was a bit safe. Dress was nylon but I liked the waist it gave me. Just not keen on that print. A bit fussy for me and not in any way modern. I like a animal print or a small more neutral print.

@Brogues outfit 2 was just my own grey skinny chinos and striped Breton with their denim jacket !

I think you look great in the playsuit, and denim jacket - cropped trousers too but then I didn’t like the button side
Mine is coming next week

WhoNeedsaManOfTheWorld · 08/05/2021 15:42

I like the trousers, the jumpsuit, the denim jacket and the dress
No to the hoodie

polkadotpjs · 08/05/2021 15:44

@WinterStrange @Honeywort YES! I asked for a denim jacket as I've not got one and fancied one instead of wearing a cardi over dresses and vests in summer but you make an excellent point. Do I need one? I got rid of a blouson type one as it was too loose so maybe this is better. It's been an interesting diversion on a shitty weather day though ! Thanks all for reading. And my arms in the play suit. Sweet Jesus. Anaemic fat cheap sausages

I don't think the colour of the hoodie flatters you

Palavah · 08/05/2021 15:47

I think the playsuit looks alright!
No to the dress (unflattering length and dull print) and the hoodie
I have a denim jacket in a similar cut to that one and I was wondering if it would look date this year and I should go for a more up to date cut.

Do you have stuff that would go with the trousers? I'm never sure what colour works well with that green (I'm a summer)

SpeckledyHen · 08/05/2021 15:49

Just the denim jacket I think . You don’t look like a flowery person to me and the colour of the jumper is not right IMO .

A well fitted wrap dress to show off your waist would look great on you .

Srirachachacha · 08/05/2021 16:05

Next have a plain black playsuit for £14 in their sale in store just now. For some reason they've loads, but I found it super flattering. It has a faux crossover waist with a tie at the back which gives this apple more of a waist. Worth a look for it and it looks fab with a denim jacket (I have massive tits and got a super curvy one from bravissimo for £36).

HesSpartacus · 08/05/2021 17:02

I like the playsuit (but in a less fussy print / another colour) and the green trousers. I've done Stitch Fix for the first time this month and am currently waiting for the parcel - my feeback for the preview they sent was 'Unfortunately I find everything here really frumpy' so I'm not expecting much Grin

Squiz81 · 08/05/2021 17:15

Well firstly it’s all a lot better than the lookeiro box!!
I like the cropped trousers and the denim jacket. The hoodie is a bit blah, the dress fabric would put me off - but I’m sweaty and only go for natural fibres these days

BatshitCrazyWoman · 08/05/2021 17:50

Better than your Lookeiro box! The jacket looks great on you, only worth it if you'll wear it obviously! The hoody is blah - not a great colour on you. The dress is quite frumpy and unflattering (but I hate floral prints, so could be biased!). The trousers seem ok, the jumpsuit looks nice.

ChubbyLittleManInACampervan · 08/05/2021 17:53

You look good in all of it, but none of it is exciting

I think it’s surprising none of it is actually fashionable iyswim? It looks like Boden/Joules/Fatface/Dorothy Perkins that could be from this year or 5 years ago or even 10

It’s exactly the sort of safe clothes I already own

Would have expected a bit more on-trend stuff

Miseryisabutterfly · 08/05/2021 19:14

I really like those trousers from the front but don’t like the buttons on the side. Maybe you could find nicer ones yourself in the same style? They definitely work really well on you.

Thanks , just ordered a Bravissimo jacket for £36 :)
Srirachachacha · 08/05/2021 20:04

@SpeckledyHen oh yay! I love mine!

polkadotpjs · 08/05/2021 20:06

I can't Unsee all the charity stuff I've got to send in the background. I don't live in a squat. Honest! I'm warming more to the trousers now - but May search for other makes. I know exactly what you mean about nothing fashionable. It's not very now whereas I keep doing the style shuffle and pick loads of nice more modern looking stuff. My DH just asked if I'm particularly bloated today. Great!

I like the dress and the jumpsuit and think the denim jacket would work well with both these things. I do like the khaki trousers. Definitely miles better than the lookerio stuff.

ActonBell · 08/05/2021 21:13

I think you look great in the jumpsuit! But I can see it’s not a modern print.
I’d keep the denim jacket and the trousers.

HoldontoOneMoreDay · 09/05/2021 19:57

I like the trousers, the jacket and the play suit but none of it is 'wow, this is really different and I wouldn't have chosen this for myself' which is, as far as I'm concerned, the whole point of paying extra for the 'stylist' thing.

I think the play suit and the denim jacket will look great together and the trousers will be 'useful basic trousers' but not sure if any of this will make you feel amazing when you wear them...

justawoman · 09/05/2021 20:27

I find buttons on trouser legs or boots just annoy the hell out of me because they catch on things and/or get in the way when I’m trying to sit with my legs crossed or in some other comfy position.

I agree with others: some of the clothes (the denim jacket and the trousers) look fine on you, but in an unexciting way and certainly no better than the things you’ve picked out for yourself. I don’t like the print of either the dress or the jumpsuit and I don’t think the jumpsuit particularly flatters you. You’ve got a lovely figure and I think you probably dress it well without help (or without the help of the two stylists you’ve tried!).

Now off to bravissimo to look at denim jackets...

Carycy · 10/05/2021 06:34

I just cancelled my lookieroo. They continuously sent me frumpy floral dresses because I said I liked dresses and mistakenly I think said I liked boho. After I repeatedly said I didn’t want any more floral dresses and got another one and and a floral skirt in the next lot I gave up. They also sent me a really expensive frumpy cardigans.

WorkWorkAngelica · 10/05/2021 07:04

It's all perfectly nice I think but yes not overly exciting I guess.

I've got a few things from Brakeburn in the past (think you said the trousers are form there) and they are great quality, I really like it.
