How do I style my new girlfriend jeans?

I'm a size 12 with no real waist and mid 40s. No idea what to wear with them, although I'm quite pleased with them. They are slightly cropped and have little turn ups.

What do you wear with the new jean shape?

Can we see the jeans please, sounds just what I'm looking for.

I'm hankering after the river island ones.... But after years of skinnys I'm apprehensive.

DH bought them in the Gap sale randomly! But I think they're these ones which appear sold out.

He bought them in store this week so might be worth a look?

I was also addicted to my skinnies but decided I needed a new look and feel oddly liberated and modern to be in a different shape after so many years.

They’re a v slim shape in that link op so you can probably just wear them like your skinnies

Irishterrier · 03/05/2021 13:52

They're quite a bit baggier than the skinnies I've been wearing @Itsallhere so it feels a bit odd wearing my usual things with them! They're a very different shape, plus cropped and turn ups.

I’m sure they feel different but I’m just saying that the silhouette isn’t so different from skinnies that they need to be styled in a different way. They’re still v slim and fitted, not like they’re flares or baggy jeans

OK I see what you mean, thank you

I wear mine with a sweatshirt tucked in at the front (Google French tuck) or with a shirt or t-shirt tucked in. I try not to go too oversized on the top. Agree that the jeans seem huge after years of skinnies but not going back now as they are so much more comfortable.
